That's the thing, though. Every election from now until the WOT is over (if ever) would be like that. That's why we should have used more of a mailed fist when the position was secure (i.e. after the 2004 election). Instead it was PC warfare that does little to crush the spirit of resistance. If we are going to occupy a hostile country we need to utilize tactics that work. It's not pretty, but neither is allowing this gaping wound to fester.

The WOT is a long term prospect, the failure of the extremely bias and corruption in the MSM may not be a long term prospect as their business continues to drop like a rock....check out the stock prices of the NYSlimes/Boston Globe/Philly Inquirer/ and market share of ABCNBCMSNBCCNNNPRCBS newz business, etal....it will approach 0 in the near future...they correctly see this election as their last chance...the ranks of unemployed journalist/newscasters are about to see a large increase...LOLs.

Good point and exactly what the US had to do with Muslim extremists when we took possession of the Philippines from Spain. A Governor-General was appointed to oversee Philippines government and exercise military control, which at one point had General "Blackjack" Pershing terrorizing the terrorists. That they finally understood.
The Philippines was also where conservative Republican Henry Stimson gained many of the tools he later used as Secretary of War under Franklin Roosevelt to guide our nation to complete victory.
