"....certain demographic" group

OK, you all mean "black"

And I can guarantee you that if you take any group of any skin tone and raise two-thirds of the boys without fathers, you will have pandaemic of troublemakers.

Just pointing out that it is a cultural not a racial thing.

Where's Hyannisport,MA....Martha's Vineyard,MA...Chappaqua,NY?

Apparently, death by drowning was excluded from the list.

This list says Montgomery, AL is safer than Chattanooga, TN. Having lived in both cities in recent years, I'd have to strenuously object.

All solid Democrat-run cities. And these losers want to govern the country. They should be designated as disaster areas, and this after the nation has wasted SEVEN TRILLION tax dollars "rehabilitating" these corrupt cesspools since LBJ's lost "war on poverty."

To suggest that these cities’ crime rate has anything to do with their racial demographics would be extremely politically incorrect and anyone making such a claim would be instantly branded a racist or a bigot, so I will remain silent on the subject.

By the way, a good definition of politically correct is “To insist that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by its clean end.”

I'm surprised Orlando showed up at all. I mean, the competition for the distiguished honor of being on this list is pretty fierce.

I wonder exactly how these "results" were calculated.

How did Charleston, SC make it on there?

St. Louie, Detroit, Flint and Compton must be really, really, really bad.

I'm surprised Gary, Indiana, isn't higher on the list. Several years ago I was traveling to a project in Benton Harbor, MI, from a project in Champaign, IL,. Sitting in stop and go traffic on the interstate near Gary, I watched as several cars ahead of me were robbed by what appeared to be gang bangers from a certain ethnic group. There was no exit. The only thing folks could do was empty their wallets. Not sure if it was my NRA sticker or my 1911 Colt .45 I set out on the console in plain view, but they left me alone when they came by my truck.....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brick_Township,_New_Jersey
Since the year 2000, Brick Township has been the safest "city" (population over 75,000) in New Jersey. In 2003 and 2004, Brick Township held the title of being the second safest city in the United States after Newton, Massachusetts[1]. In 2005, Brick Township dropped down to the fifth safest "city" (population over 75,000) in the United States[2].

Chattanooga had a problem a few years back with so-called "home invasions". That activity ceased when a few of the 'perps were shot dead in the process....

Although I don't consider any city safe, Chattanooga is safer than most I've been through in my extensive travels....

St. Louis makes the top of the list because they have a small incorporated city with all the social ills that implies with huge suburbs that are NOT part of the city surrounding it.

It's accurate....and it's not.

In our case the student had moved here from New York and lived with both parents as well as living in a upper class neighborhood. I know this as the only reason we didn't press charges is the parents both begged us not to. The kid never bothered ours again and we feel his apology was sincere to our son. That said my son says that the black kids at his school never give him any problems and that it is the "white kids" that taunt him every day with various names. I'm just glad he minds his own business and studies hard as we have taught him. Next year we will be sending him to a private school.

I liked Chatanooga when I visited about 10 years ago. Of course, I was only a visitor - but was there for three days and got a chance to really look around.

From what I could see, Chattanooga's bad area seem to be west and southwest of Missionary Ridge.

And Tampa Fl. is by no means a safer city to live in then Saint Petersburg. I see a lot of improbable rankings in this list.

When I heard this news reported i was going to send an Email to FauxNews to ask them now that you have identified the most dangerous cities, now lets talk about why they are dangerous. let's get into specifics but no, that is a Red Herring.
