The people targeted by this flier should realize that it was the DEMOCRATS behind the voter supressions of the past.

Nobody should be deluded by the historical Dem us versus them MO. Today you may be the 'us" but when the eloctorial math works in the other direction, they'll make you the "them". The dems are race card sharks.

The people who oppose photo ID actually believe all African-Americans look alike.

Mike McConnell on the air today asked why is it always the Democrats who fight efforts to make voters prove their identity and that they are eligible to vote.

Every time I get my license ID picture taken I always associate that with getting sprayed with a high pressure fire hose too.

Nothing new, and nothing is beneath some of these characters.

In the 2002 election, my postman showed me a flier he was delivering with the cryptic "You don't see some of the stuff I have to carry..."

One side- a pleasant-looking black family, looking- worried.

The other side- Sonny, juxtaposed with a toothless Klansman in a sheet, and some drivel about "don't take us back there..."

Whatever his flaws, Sonny is no more a racist than my dog- he was a Democrat for years, for God's sake, and a country Veterinarian.

This kind of smearing sleazy fearmongering is despicable.

The Democrats are STILL racist. They're still the ones who tell blacks to get to the back of the bus and wait their turn when a white Democrat decides to run for higher office.

"One person one vote" means that my vote counts as 1.000000000000 votes, not .999999999999999993 votes because of voter fraud, or non-citizens, or felons (in this state) voting. We have six sigma levels of quality controls being utilized in such mundane matters as the production of Eggo Waffles, BIC pens, or toothbrushes (or many low value consumer items). If we value voting to even half the level suggested by the rhetoric of the Democratic Party on this issue - then why wouldn't we employ modern information technology and reasonable standards of identification to make sure the vote is an accurate representation of the sentiments of those who bothered to vote?

From 377 U.S. 533; Reynolds v. Sims (1964):

 Held:

1. The right of suffrage is denied by debasement or dilution of a citizen's vote in a state or federal

election. Pp. 554-555.

...

3. (b) Weighting votes differently according to where citizens happen to reside is discriminatory. Pp.

563-568.

...

7.(c) Considerations of history, economic or other group interests, or area alone do not justify

deviations from the equal-population principle. Pp. 579-580.
