I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.
Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:
Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.
As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."

Michael Save: Pyrite Conservative.
"Michael Savage" is fitting enough. He is thoroughly rational, conservative, and a good force on radio.
What an asinine post.
Did you hear the show yesterday? He was really making me laugh. He kept asking for a song by Eddie Fisher to be played. A song he said he detested. He's done this before. One time with a Maya Angelou clip during the 2004 election season. He'd say something like, "Play clip 6 of Angelou." It would play for a few seconds. "Get that hag off my show, I can't take it anymore. I'm getting a migraine." He'd go on about her for a few seconds then he would say, "play her again." I was in near hysterics. I'm sorry to all those people out there that don't get Savage, but he can be very funny.
LOL!, as you toke on your bong while posting on FR.
You're surely joking right?
Who was it that appointed the dishonorable Rose Bird to the State Supreme Court? Oh yeah, that was Jerry Brown when he was govenor
He's still against the death penalty
Gay rights - he's for them
Environmental restrictions worse than we have now - he's for them.
Do we really need to revisit the flip flops on Prop 13 and how he is as bad as Kerry with his stealing of ideas and flip flopping
Abortion rights - he's for them on the same level hilary is.
Fiscally conservative - hardly
He still believes in the mystic philosphy stuff that got him that nickname "moonbat or moonbeam" or whatever version you want to use.
You can put him in an older more conservative appearence but he will always be a true to the core liberal.
Or when they mean "weiner" as in "penis" as in Savage is a D--k
lol. Sorry loser...that doesn't work here.
What makes you think I have to justify anything Bush is doing? This thread is about the pyscho Michael Savage....
In fact, I wonder if "Savage" isn't a gay man's joke about conservatives, as in the old comedy song "CB Savage," about a gay truck driver.
"Savage is an unhinged lunatic."
Agreed. I quit listening to him about 4-5 years ago because he was already making statements I totally disagreed with on most issues. The only thing keeping him on the air is the fact that he's a loudmouthed screamer. I can't stand him.
"Don't you mean Michael Wiener? The food doctor?"
Weiner, not Wiener. And not Whiner.
Michael Savage is a character played by Michael Weiner. It is political schtick, show-biz, a complete put on. Even the selection of the stage name is a little insulting to conservatives. Savage is no more conservative than Jack Benny was cheap. He is laughing all of the way to the bank.
Savage is a used TrojanTM
Are you going to break out your best box of wine for the occasion?
Either that or Clinton's description of conservative talk radio that led to the Oklahoma bombing.
