I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.
Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:
Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.
As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."
RIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHTTTTT.

One, throw out an outrageous accusation. Then discuss how to connect the dots to come to a simple (and oventimes, tortuous, conclusion), then wrap it up with saying it's "only one man's opinion".
Orwellian, imo, thereby totalitarian and leftest.
I guess I got your attention by linking Savage with Mossad, for impact.
Oh boy, krunkygirl, I sure hope I don't get savaged for daring to make the comparison.
How do you justify the support Bush is giving liberal Liberman? It's ok for Bush to support liberal democrat Libierman for the sake of power, but not ok for Savage to support Brown for the sake of principal?
I said this about a year ago. If you listen to Savage his leftism is on display in every show. He is what a true liberal is all about, obnoxious with the potential for militancy.
Serious. Don't tread on us.
Bob Grant was a "pessimistic" conservative talk host that I always really loved. He was rude , loud, abrassive, and it was GREAT! Unfortunately, he mellowed later in his career after being fired from a major radio station. Bob was the real deal. I LOVE pessimistic conservatives because thay are just plain old more fun and entertaining (Think Archie Bunker here, angrier is FUNNIER, hence better radio). Jay Diamond, another "pessimistic" conservative radio host turned out to be a liberal hoaxter.
I don't know about Savage, but I always think of him as more of a patriot rather that strictly idiological.
Some very good parodies on this thread...lol
Buddy nobody can tell you how to vote so you need to chill in that regard. As far as "goober eating states" though I will let you know I'm having fettuccine in vodka sauce for dinner tonight. You can keep your tofu tacos out there in your deep blue/new age state.
I see. You speak for all Californians and you know what is best for California. No need for outside ideas or opinions. OK.
Call me shallow, but I just can't listen to the guy.
Does a vote for Joe Lieberman as Bush wants mean a vote for conservatism, as well?
You are wrong about Savage. It is common knowledge that the man is an invention of what the Left thinks Conservatism is supposed to be. The point is to discredit Conservative talk radio all together. Michael Weiner is a product of U.C. Berkeley, and when he writes his tell-all book on the subject, many Conservatives who put faith in that guy are going to be embarrassed beyond belief.
He is a phony Conservative, and you have been taken for a ride.
I'm simple. It will take time for me to think about and digest your response--I will say upfront that I don't get the Mossad (Israeli intelligence, right?) mention/comparison...
Savage ping.
The "shaky" thing made me laugh...;)
how about advocating voting for democrats and telling his listeners right before elections(he did this before 2002 and 2004) that he wasn't going to vote and that voting doen't matter.. their is NO difference... Blah, blah, blah for 3 hours, mind you he starts this mantra 2-3 weeks outside of the election.
Is the analogy that a vote for Jerry Brown must be a vote for conservatism because Savage says so? Just want to be clear here.
Personally I think a vote for Lieberman is a vote for liberalism against even more extreme liberalism. But George Bush isn't exactly the 100% definition of conservatism.
Me to. But he seems to be repeating the same things way to much lately. He picks a couple headlines and keeps on making the same point. It's like he is not even trying.
Yeah, he sounds just like Harvey Firestein.
