I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.
Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:
Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.
As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."
RIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHTTTTT.

"Me? I'm just glad my last name isn't Poochigian."
And why is that?
I've already addressed that question. See post #135.
Name one thing (opinion) that Rush has lied about.
"How do you justify the support Bush is giving liberal Liberman? It's ok for Bush to support liberal democrat Libierman for the sake of power, but not ok for Savage to support Brown for the sake of principal?"
First question:
a.)One answer is Ned Lamont.
b.)Another answer is Lieberman's support of the war(The most important issue of our time.)
c.) Still another answer is that there is no viable GOP candidate in the race.
On your second question, I have a question: why is Weiner supporting a leftwing candidate against a solid conservative for the chief law enforcement position in a BORDER STATE?
"I don't know if it's been said already, but Savage sounds too gay for me."
It's not limited to his voice,
"Does a vote for Joe Lieberman as Bush wants mean a vote for conservatism, as well?"
To paraphrase Serpenthead: It's the war, stupid!
"This thread is about how some seem to be upset that Savage rewarded a politician for actually accomplishing something.
That's not acting, it's putting money where your mouth is, dude."
Are you saying Weiner put his mouth on Jerry Brown?
"When people use "Weiner" sarcastically -- what they really wish they could use is the word Jew."
When people call Weiner by his real name, it's because his real name is Weiner.
I wouldn't know, I don't listen to talk-radio drivel or
folks who claim to have talent on loan from God.
The reasoning must go something like this: "Since I do everything the Republican Party asks of me, I have earned my conservative credentials".
Or, "I'm sure I can become a right winger if I donate at least 35% of my disposable income to the CaGOP".
Well, I'll tell ya... You cannot call these "Party Faithful To The End," rugged individualists, or original thinkers. In my view, the ones hangin around here are "origional stinkers!"
"Have you ever heard Weiner talk about the ladies in a flattering way?"
Nope
"I don't think you want my answer... You won't accept it anyway...
Think for a moment... You're a "conservative" talk show host, with the 3rd largest audience in the nation...ove 8.25 million people. You're savvy enough to know that all contributions are made public... You HAVE to know that this contribution - not a few hundred, but the max allowed under law, will be questioned...
When questioned by the media, wouldn't that (military schools) be the very first thing that you would bring up? Wouldn't that be fresh in your mind, and easy to recall? Instead, he said he didn't know the other guy, and lots of other lame-ass excuses
He even went so far as to say all California GOPers are useless, that they haven't done anything. He'd rather give to Brown, where he's accomplished something (1 thing out of hundreds of hideous policies)...
Please think about that for a second... It just doesn't make sense... Finding something he agreed with AFTER the fact is much more plausible, IMHO... Lormand/Checkers- am I wrong? Does it surprise you that so many Savage fans buy this excuse wholesale without even questioning it?"
Sounds reasonable.
BTW, I don't believe the 8.25 figure.
Then you probably should not make the claim he lies.
He spins things to fit his agenda.
Spin = lies.
I don't expect you to understand it, you are obviously
brainwashed by the media. You realize radio talk is media, right?
Limbaugh differs from Katie Couric et al only in spin direction.
Wow, the "Dude" comment bothers you more than what that phoney Conservative Weiner can ever say. Says alot about you. I could think of more fitting words for you, but chose "Dude" since I don't want to get banned.
Bush is not a movement Conservative. He is Conservative on some issues, like the one that is saving your ass right now.
You are digging yourself in a huge embarrassing whole. These posts can be traced. Don't be the one to turn the lights out on Savage, unless you have socialist/marxist/quasi-conservative/reactionary/contradictory ideological tendencies like Weiner does.
My methods of showing disapproval may seem immature to you, but I mostly troll the Weiner thread, and attack when I read one of the Weiner-bots slam Bush, Rush, Hannity, and other movement Conservatives. It is my duty as a Conservative to not let these comments go unchallenged. That is "the right" thing to do.
When Freerepublic no longer harbors threads which honors phoney plastic bananna quasi-conservatives like Weiner, I will be very happy.
How long do you think a staff member on his radio show lasts?
Party pooper!
Not long. Ask the gentleman Jim Eason's daughter, who used to be MS's producer at KSFO during the same time Eason did his show.
