According to the US Secret Service field office in New York City, the incident began at 3:45 Friday afternoon when a clerk in the 13th floor office of President Clinton opened an envelope containing a white powdery substance. It was then brought up to the 14th floor where the Secret Service is housed. Police were then notified.
We are told that the former president was not at the office at the time.
EMS crews were at the building at 55 West 125th Street investigating. Clinton's spokesman, Jay Carson, said the building had not been evacuated.
Secret Service spokesman Eric Zahren said they had determined through a field test that the substance was harmless, and that the envelope was turned over to the Secret Service for investigation. Zahren, however, would not comment on if anything else was found in the envelope or how it was addressed.
Clinton, meanwhile, is at the Grammercy Park Hotel to celebrate his birthday.
Hi Mods .. looks to be a false alarm, should you wish to remove it from breaking. Your call .. thanks. ;)
Birthday? Bill Clinton's birthday is August 19, a day after my mom's birthday.
His birthday was more than 2 months ago. Is there anything he won't lie about?
More likely he is there to celebrate his birthday suit. Perhaps it is the excuse equivalent of a rubber band on the dorm room's outer doorknob...

AGAIN?
My guess is the return address was a "joke" giveaway....and whatever message or item enclosed besides the powder was a dead giveaway of a hoax.
Of course, Hillary would say it's their own private business EXCEPT as long as we're paying the bill to protect Bubba, we are entitled to know.
