One of those moments came when Loftus insisted that she had never met Fitzgerald. He then reminded her that he had cross-examined her before

She's an expert in memory. That's pretty funny.

The Washington ComPOST story about Fitz carving up this 'memory' witness isn't biased or anything like that, is it?

Fitzgerald is a disgrace. He will torment Libby in order
to hang around Washington DC. Another political hack who
has earned a lifetime on the Democrat cocktail circuit.

And the point of this post is????

Fiztmas ended several months when that stooge Richard Armtiage admitted he was the source. Any judge with any credibility in DC would throw this case out before it gets to jury selection on a summary judgment.

Why hasn't Murry Mom been ZOTED yet?

"Jury selection is scheduled to begin on January 17."

It looks like a dumb move by Fitzgerald to me. He should have pulled this out in front of the jury on cross examination--not pretrial. Now the Libby defense will have ways to prepare for his attack against this expert witness. Pretty dumb if you ask me, and I am an attorney.

One of those moments came when Loftus insisted that she had never met Fitzgerald. He then reminded her that he had cross-examined her before, when she was an expert defense witness and he was a prosecutor in the U.S. attorney's office in New York.

What a goofy spin this reporterette puts on the story.

Loftus is an expert on the faulty memory of people being grilled by a prosecutor under oath and then she proved her own point by not remembering that she had previously been grilled by Fitzgerald under oath!

Sounds like a ginsu knive performance to me, especially when you remember that ginsu knives were cheap crappy ten dollar knives sold only on television.

"that her conclusions about memory were conflicting,"

So, isn't that Libby's point about memory?

""There were several moments when Loftus was completely caught off guard by Fitzgerald, creating some very awkward silences in the courtroom.

One of those moments came when Loftus insisted that she had never met Fitzgerald. He then reminded her that he had cross-examined her before, when she was an expert defense witness and he was a prosecutor in the U.S. attorney's office in New York.""

Again, doesn't this help Libby that she forgot?

Another left-wing anti-american Democrat who is living high off of our tax money. There was NO case and he made one up so he could get his name in the paper and make his anti-American Democrat terrorist supporters cheer.

Uh... wait a minute here...

If this expert witness was so clearly shown, by Fitz' withering attack, to have mis-remembered and forgotten all sorts of details...

Doesn't that make Libby's defense look all that much more reasonable? It merely shows that everybody can have moments where you forget about various details, or remember things wrong, or later recall something in clearer detail.

I don't see why that's a crime.
