I couldn't listen to the blonde democratic strategist's pompous voice past 30 seconds. But the damage is done. /snicker

I agreed with Webb. Tailhook was a witch hunt. I don't think this ad will harm him at all, especially among military types. Don't like the GOP using feminist sounding commercials one bit.

R strategist is smart...saying she doesn't know if the voters of VA should make a decision on this info, but that they deserve to know the info.

Actually, I found the ad was an example of the Republicans trying to out-PC the Democrats. Tailhook may well have been a witchhunt (that expanding the accusations beyond those who were clearly guilty), as I don't believe there were any final findings, and the feminists were quick to overdramatize it. There have certainly been loose women who have had their wished indulged in at naval academies. And what conservative wants women in combat roles?!

If that is 1806, then I will take that over what we have today.

I understand the strategy, but it is a cynical strategy and I don't like it.

The 2nd video of the RNC ad is powerful!

These Dummiecrats love to dish it out, but they squeal like stuck pigs when we fight back. It's a beautiful thing to behold ...

The Republicans are sending out some great ads- Ford's "call me " and now this.
On the MSNBC clip the Democrat woman is clearly distressed and the Republican woman is calm and serene which speaks volumes.
MSNBC says that McCain's book blurb is dispensation for Dirty Jim's writings. Desperately trying to move on.

Hard to look at Webb for too long-he's more Botoxed than Kerry.

I'm not sure I agree with the Tailhook reference.

However, I'm beginning to see the devastating effect if this guy was elected with his military background.

He would be a huge thorn in Pres. Bush's side.

Please Virginia...DON'T ELECT THIS CREEP!

Excerpt from a Nov 2 2005 interview Webb gave to the "San Diego Union Tribune":

Interviewer:
The Scots-Irish voted with the Democrats from Andrew Jackson to Vietnam. Since Vietnam, they've increasingly voted Republican. The Democrats appear not to quite get this. Can the Democrats win another national election or regularly win them unless they somehow reconnect with this culture that you write about?

Webb:

They cannot. This cultural group is very much in play. Except for the Christian Right, which is based in this cultural group, it is not directly aligned with either party. But it has tended to vote Republican more because people like Karl Rove, I think, have understood the emotional buttons. But in terms of tangible socioeconomic benefits, it has not benefited by the presidencies of the last three or four presidents. The problem with the Democrats is that they got away from the Jacksonian message. The Democrats used to be the party where people went when they needed a voice on the national level. You cannot develop a national strategy based on group rights, minority rights, you can't do it. The Democrats need to understand that and get back to what they used to do.

Are you interested in running for political office?

I have been talking to people about running for the Senate next year against George Allen, as a Democrat from Virginia. I have a very good life. I'm not sure that I'm going to do that or not but I have been talking to people. Thinking about it.

He sees himself as the "messiah" who will lead the good red fold back into the democrat fold. God forbid.

Webb should know that when you throw your hat in the ring, everything you've said or done is up for scrutiny.

Sucks to be him, right now.

Though he was correct about "Tailhook". The Dems wanted somebody's scalp for their lodge pole. Too bad they never got one.

Allen's going to win in Va. and by comfortable numbers.

Jack.
