Rick Santorum is attemptiong to warn the public of the various international threats to our freedom, just as Churchill did in the 1930's.

He was saying many similar comments on a live radio broadcast yesterday. HE WAS ON FIRE. He understands exactly what is at stake, down to the smallest fiber of his being.
No wonder he is in the Dem crosshairs this election. I've never heard any other congressman speak so plainly and passionately about what is at stake.
We need Rick Santorum and Diana Irey!

For one thing, he didn't irritate a lot of people by backing Spector in the last election.
However, Pa - I believe - is trending more blue as time goes on, and people from the cities spread out to the burbs and citizens of Pa leave for other states.
If this trend continues, Pa may be lost to us.

Nope. He moved all his ads to cable, which I assume his campaign figured would get better reach of the people who need to see his ads-suburban GOP-leaning independent voters.

Just gave $50. Come on Freepers, this guy "gets it."

Great read here, Irish. I merely told someone here recently that I was a Bush supporter, and she shook with rage. This speech make my will stronger.

Why are Europeans, as a whole, so damn liberal?

Thanks for the ping - I am still supportive of Bush, but I stand with FReepers here who are pissed off with his handling of Mexican border thing...

Why are Europeans, as a whole, so damn liberal? Might be better asking someone on 'mainland' Europe - we aren't that bad in either Eire or the UK!

I find Santorum to be wrong on only a few issues, but I am certainly in agreement on this. What we are in disagreement on, social issues, pale in comparison to the foreign policy ones, and on this we are in total agreement. I certainly would give him my vote if I were in his district, and that is a change of opinion from me, as a result of reading this.

Very true.
I find it funny how in the 80s, Europe, as a whole was united with us against Communism...and were thankful when it was defeated, but now they're becoming more and more like the ones they were against 20 years ago.

Praying the people of Penn have more sense then my own here in WA.
Santorum may be more conservative on the whole then they are, but Casey is more liberal on the whole. Therefore when you have a choice between an articulate, intelligent competant politician that actually has real principles and will share them, vs a lightweight who relies on his Father's good record...pray they don't choose the lightweight.
It is a pure embarrassment to be represented by lightweights no matter what your belief system. Given Rick's served them well, if they were to decide they wanted a more liberal Senator they should demand better from the Dem party. Until and if that occasion should ever ocur, Rick deserves their vote. I'd argue he deserves it under any occasion, but in this election even more so.
