Thank you!

Jeff Trandahl, who was appointed by Hastert as House Clerk in 1999 and resigned on November 18, 2005, figures in almost every important account of the Foley scandal as someone with inside information. David Rogers of the Wall Street Journal noted that Trandahl was "an adviser and friend" to Foley and was "in a unique position to recognize the implicit danger in the fact that Mr. Foley wasn't just close to pages on the House floor but was pursuing contact via email." Although Trandahl has hired a lawyer and hasn't talked publicly, numerous reports portray him in a flattering light, saying he tried to warn various Congressional officials about Foley's conduct. Calls to Trandahl and his lawyer were not returned.   http://www.aim.org/aim_column/4931_0_3_0_C/

So we have the guy who was in charge of House pages being on the Board of a "gay rights" group, and this gay rights group seems to be behind the Foley affair, with Trandahl being in a unique position to know what was going on.

What are the odds that a gay man would have busted another gay man for chasing after teenage boys? What are the odds that Trandahl might have been having affairs with boy pages himself? And if he was having an affair with a page, how hard would it have been to set Foley up?

I'm convinced Trandahl plays a major role in this nasty business, but don't think it was necessary to set Foley up.

More likely that even some gays have a problem with an older man soliciting a minor.

Yeah, it puts the whole gay community in a bad light.

OH the House of Representatives which these liberals are salivating over retaking has NOT swept this under the rug.

The House of Representatives is the ONLY reason the Senate border bill is not law.

The big question is: Where did this "ex-employee" get the e-mails?

Probably off the House e-mail server.

I wouldn't bet on that. And, even if they exist, they certainly would not be the majority voice at a leftist homosexual activist organization.

I agree with the poster who said they're just trying to cover their butts (metaphorically speaking only) while keeping the Foley thing in the news, albeit tangentially.

Thanks! Interesting that Trandahl has been around a long time.

He was elected Clerk of the House of Representatives on January 6, 1999.
The full House adopts a resolution to elect the officers, who will begin serving the Membership after they have taken the oath of office.
