AUSTRALIA'S top Muslim cleric Sheik Taj Aldin Alhilali should be sacked and deported for comments which essentially excused young Muslim men who committed rape, Sex Discrimination Commissioner Pru Goward said.
Ms Goward said the sheik had a history of making such comments and many would feel Australia's tolerance had been abused.
"It is incitement to a crime. Young Muslim men who now rape women can cite this in court, can quote this man ... their leader in court," she told the Nine Network.
"It's time we stopped just saying he should apologise. It is time the Islamic community did more than say they were horrified. I think it is time he left."
Sheik Alhilali's comments were delivered in a Ramadan sermon to 500 worshippers in Sydney last month, News Limited reported.
"If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it ... whose fault is it, the cats' or the uncovered meat?" he said.
"The uncovered meat is the problem.

Naah, I couldn't do that to those poor sharks. But if they eat his remains, I guess it isn't their fault. I mean, you leave a bunch of blood and hacked-up body parts out in the middle of the ocean, and the sharks come along and eat it, whose fault is it? Certainly not the sharks. The chum shouldn't have been there.
From the article:
Without understanding the fundamentally different cultures and attitudes that come only from living in both America and Australia, it is virtually impossible to understand how both sides of this debate do have very valid points. What we need to recognize is that the issues are so different in each country that the same gun law model cannot be used for both countries. You cannot have cookie cutter gun laws in the same way you cannot have cookie cutter democracies. You cannot take someones history away, and it is their history that leads them to make the decisions they make. Everyones history is so different and there are so many things we just dont know we dont know.
He's taking a cue from the Nuke Mecca Crowd.
Whatever Fred, we know that it was hired hands with govt authorized guns that killed Rodney Ansell because he may have possessed an unauthorized non govt gun. Moreover, it is disappointing to realize that you don't seem to get the irony of this tragedy...perhaps it would have been better if aussies had not relied upon the british protectorates in the early days. Especially now that the muzzies are entertaining themselves raping "promiscuous" aussie women.
Anyone in Australia who has legitimate reason for a gun can easily legally get one.
Well said, Fred!

So...what he's saying is that muslim men are no better than tomcats? That they aren't capable of controlling themselves and have the minds of animals.
They insult themselves with these idiotic statements.

I think you need to read this.

puts it into perspective.
So if his neck snaps when he is hung, is it the fault of the rope, or the fault of his neck?
Like Rod Ansell, the Branch Davidians were demonized too after the BATF assaulted them. All the while the BATF claimed they were ambushed. Sorta hard to buy since it was the BATF who went to the home of the Branch Davidians with their guns ablazing and not the Branch Davidians going to the home of the BATF.
By the same token, it seems to me that Rod was demonized after the fact for daring to possess a gun at a roadblock which was for all likelyhood staged just for him.
Imagine if it were the Nazis coming for our guns. Knowing what we now know, would we just give them up? Maybe Rod viewed them as a form of the gestapo. They did seek to take away his right to self protection did they not?
Here in Texas, the tomcats that cause trouble, taking things that do not belong to them, are usally shot as vermin, without hesitation.
After this morons comment, every Aussie woman should be able to get a handgun legally.
Problem is he'll be promptly replaced.
You didn't read the article, did you?

If I were a Muslim, I would be greatly offended. He has equated a Muslim's thought processes with that of a cat. I would hope that anyone I know has thought processes greater than a cat. How insulting. They should discipine him appropriately. :-)
Smuggling in Egypt
Egyptian authorities have arrested Sheik Taj Al Hilali, the controversial Mufti of Australia's Muslim community, for alleged involvement in archaeological smuggling. It is alleged by Egyptian police that he paid thousands of dollars to 10 people who have been arrested on smuggling charges, intending to carry antiquities abroad to be sold. Four of those arrested are also accused of murdering a police officer who discovered them on a clandestine dig in Qena, 640 miles from Cairo, in southern Egypt. The Sheik has denied any wrongdoing, has volunteered a statement to the authorities and claims he is a victim of circumstances which his enemies are exploiting. Although the Mufti was allowed to leave Egypt temporarily in March the investigation continued and he is now obliged to stay in the country pending his next court hearing in May.

Unfortunately, IIRC, the Egyptian authorities did not proceed and al-Hilali the scumb-bag got away scot-free...
Yeah, blame the uncovered meat, not the flies...
