Google has registered a political action committee with the US Federal Election Commission...
apparently were now going to see the bizarre leftist philosophy so evident at Google News extended into the political meat world:
Google becomes a political player.
Google has an impressive list of players on its team. As well as counting Al Gore among its senior advisers, Googles Washington office was set up about a year and a half ago by Alan Davidson. A well-known Democrat sympathiser, he served for eight years as associate director of the Centre for Democracy and Technology, a thinktank that opposes government and industry control of the web.
Alongside him is Robert Boorstin, a former Clinton foreign policy aide from the Centre for American Progress, as Googles communications chief in the capital.
Googles PAC will be run by a five-person board of directors who will be guided by the recommendations of an advisory committee made up of Google employees. It will raise its funds through voluntary donations from staff.
But judging from the fact that in the past Google employees have been involved with leftwing groups such as MoveOn.org, it will be very interesting to see where that cash is headed.

Shouldn't that be, "more rich Commie socialist hippie hateAmerica money..."
Google IS Big Brother. You Tube, their recent acquisition, is a cesspit of vile Leftie crap from all corners of the planet. It really is a small world after all and what we see is that stupidity and fear are far more common than once believed.
YouTube is why American teenagers worship LonelyGirl 15, a total setup and dupe upon millions of viewers. Thus proving, it can and shall be done in the name of Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Feminism, every ism, the homosex agenda, NAMBLA, CAIR, PETA, ACLU, etc.
LonelyGirl 15 was a drill. It worked. HERE THEY COME FOR YOUR CHILDREN. THE INTERNET WILL RAISE YOUR KIDS.

Personally, I would prefer that Google go this route rather than tweak their search engine software to favor the leftist agenda.

Okay, computer experts; tell me which OTHER search engines will get me off the googling as my primary means of finding things?I switched to Yahoo several months ago with no deterioration in my ability to find stuff. I've got political problems with Yahoo as well, but less so than with Google.
BTW, Google makes their money from users clicking on advertizer's links and ads - don't do that if you do use them.

I really can't stand Google and never really used it because most of the lefties all do. To hear them bleat, you'd think Google was the ONLY search engine on the net. Now I have even more reason to NOT use it.

The Google Founders are the worst kind of Lefties, they hate Capitalism but sure love it's perks. I do not and will not use Google for anything unless it is a last resort.
Sooner or later the Google stock price has to tank and I just want to see it.
To: XenaLee
Don't click on the sponsored links. That's how Google makes their money.
To: george76
Okay...that seems to work okay. Thanks.
To: Captain Peter Blood
the Google founders remind me of warren buffet.
he made tons of money, avoided income taxes, and now is trying to avoid the death taxes.
yet, he claims to love the death taxes for the rest of us...
