CNN) -- An al Qaeda operative wanted in connection with the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings was killed in April in Pakistan, American officials have confirmed.
Pakistani officials had said that Muhsin Musa Matwalli Atwah was killed in North Waziristan during an airstrike by Pakistani forces near the border with Afghanistan.
DNA testing confirmed the Pakistani government's claim, U.S. officials said, and Atwah's name was removed from the FBI's list of Most Wanted Terrorists.
Atwah, 42, was born in Egypt. He was indicted in connection with al Qaeda's suicide bombings of U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The attacks killed 224 people, including 12 Americans.

Yet another high ranking job vacancy
Of course the Lefty/MSM take on this will be that it really doesn't matter when we kill one of these guys, there's 10 more ready to step and take his place. That might be true, but a lot of the guys we're getting have been in leadership for years. One body is not as good another when it comes to leadership in an organization like this. They've managed to stay alive for a long time because they are craft and smart. Notice THEY aren't the ones doing the suicide bombings! The guy that has to step in and pick up the leadership role left open by the death will take a long time to get as experienced as the one he's replacing. With some luck he won't live long enough to get that experience!
Its ok..
Still picking up after Clinton's fumbles.
Link doesn't work anymore...

He was killed in a village called Naghar Kalai...
That's what really counts.
Well, trying and a monica are what really counts.
OK, the monica counted.
Residents in Naghar Kalai said they heard at least one loud explosion followed by intense machine-gun fire focussing on a house in which a group of men from "outside the village" had been staying.
The building, situated near an Islamic school, was destroyed, and three cars were blown up.
"There was a huge explosion, which we think was a missile attack, before the helicopters came and bombed the house," said village tribal elder Khan Wazir. "When we came to the house there was dust and other people who were already trying to pull out bodies and sift through the rubble."
After the attack, a group of armed men surrounded the crumpled house to keep onlookers back before taking at least seven bodies away, Wazir said.
Could the armed men have been US Special Ops????
His corpse must not have resembled his photos.
