You know, and I know, and the guy who may be sitting next to you on the 6:24 out of Ronkonkoma knows, that TV is a hard game. It's a tough slog down a long, dark hallway with a lot of unmarked doors, any of which may lead to success or failure.
But most of us can usually figure out what's working and what isn't, and most of us now know which category Katie Couric's turn at the "CBS Evening News" falls into.
It isn't working.
No reason to bore you with numbers, but "Evening News" has fallen to third place for three weeks (last week's figures were not available at deadline). Despite the blarney CBS would have you believe - that the program is ahead in viewers versus this point a year ago so everything's just ducky - this clearly is not where the network expected to be.

Another article bashing CBS and Perkie Katie Couric. They're becoming somewhat repetitive, but in my humble opinion, you can't have too many CouricBashing news stories...

This is such a crock! If she and her backup would present the NEWS, instead of commentary and wishful-thinking disguised as prognostication and current events, I'd watch. I htink there's a demind for information about what's going on, but there's an oversupply of what dims and libbies wish was going on. It's simple economics, really, which is why they don't get it.

So this is what the world has come to for Katie Couric, some MSM creep, named Verne Gay telling an obnoxious b---- like Katie Couric, to toughen up girl.

PerkyQuirkyKatieCouric is learning that, while winning isn't everything, losing isn't anything...

Perky Couric is gonna get enhanced?
Oh.
I'm sorry.
I thought the headline said "Couric needs some surgery."
(Still wondering what the over-under is on her losing the jacket (and bra) and going for the hot-lights-over-a-silk-blouse look ....

Oh boy...if they'd hired someone like Brit Hume, they'd be #1 on network news. Instead, they hired a lefty. They thought because she was female...it wouldn't matter if she was a lefty...women every where would support her. WRONGO...

If CBS changes Perky Katie's show in response to these articles, do you think they will become more "fair and balanced"?
Don't hold your breath.

Yawn. Does anyone at FR care about this?

Seriously, if any of the big three played it straight and did not compete with each other who could read the daily DNC press releases, they could clean up with viewers.
Think about it. The first of the big three who stops spewing the same old Manhattan liberal line to middle-America and starts reporting fairly and accurately will clean up in the ratings! It really is that simple. However, the networks have proven that they would rather commit suicide and go into bankruptcy rather than be fair and balanced.

This is the second disinformation article re Perky in as many days. If you scroll down to the last paragraphs, cheerleader Gay Verne is calling out for the good old days of Katieness, when she was bold and courageous and a hard hitting newswoman on the Today show. *snort*
This article, like all the Couric hype and like all the Keith Olberwhosey articles, is just an oxygen delivery device. They need the attention, even negative attention, or they will just fade out. If we keep paying attention, they will not go away. These two ghastly people are awful.
WITH CNN...IT IS WAR.
