BTW, I've already had some REAL LIFE insight into this election yesterday which was the first day of early voting here in Broward County. I voted at the North Regional Library and the turnout was VERY LIGHT. Only three other people voting the whole time I was there. It was about 5 PM when you would figure folks have time to turn out. The other three people were very elderly Condo Commando types who turn out for EVERY election. No "regular" folks there (if you don't count me). Oh, and the FUnniest thing was one of the elderly ladies struggling to vote on the Votronic Electronic Machine. I saw her when I came in and about 4 minutes later when the poll people checked out my ID and everything, she was still there. The voting guy assigned me the machine next to hers and I could see she couldn't figure out how the hell to use it even though it is simple as hell. It was like she was struggling to pass a really hard final exam. It took me less than five minutes to vote and guess what? The lady next to me was still there. I walked outside, went to the bathroom, took a drink of water, and peeked back in the voting room. The clueless lady was still there struggling with the Votronic machine.
Oh, and I didn't see anyone else enter the voting room. VERY LIGHT turnout.
Is light turnout in Broward County good news or bad news for the GOP?
Isn't Ford blaming Corker for the RNC ad?
Percentagewise, Broward County is the most heavily Democrat county in Florida. You figure it out.
and Lieberman goes from the Dem category to Independent (for counting purposes) right? Who is in line to replace Frist?? (I hope Corker is stronger-willed than Frist in the Senate)...
Actually, if you take the history of polls in recent elections, if the republican is losing by 5 points he's a shoe in. Losing by 10 is cause for concern, if he's winning it's a landslide.
When I see those vet ads, I sometimes wonder if they are paid actors??
That's one poll where most of the "pollsters" are probably democrats anyway. If not most of the listed polls.
No, that's Chafee
The Ohio numbers seem suspicious to me. I live in the belly of the democrat beast here in Cuyahoga county and I can barely tell that there is an election going on. NO yard signs no bumper stickers nothing. If Brown is to win there would have to be some intensity here and there isn't any.
Yeah!
Thanks, I get them confused. Guess all RINO's look alike.
Morris makes me dizzy and is full of BS. Just yesterday he said there's no time for the GOP to pull this out this late in the game.
I'm noticing the same thing here in Broward County, Florida. Very LITTLE passion over this election. In 2004 I saw signs everywhere. This year... almost nothing. Also I don't hear folks talking politics at all.
Brown was an energetic and effective Ohio Secretary of State, in a day when such offices were low profile and essentially non-partisan. His ideology was not an issue. Meanwhile Dewine has alienated almost everyone but the truly "moderate" and such animals rarely vote in large numbers (too nervous to make a choice, as Rush says).
Good for Tennessee and Virginia!
I have not link.....
