There sure seems to be a tremendous push to get people to vote absentee ... even if it isn't necessary. I got an absentee ballot in the mail last week (Pennsylvania) .. and I scoured the entire thing for directions or parameters for voting absentee. I found nothing .. it was almost like .. forget the voting date .. do it now.
My absentee ballot should arrive shortly. The MSM will not deter me either.
I voted early Monday 10/23/2006 and I voted all Republican.
I was surprised that there were no Rats on about a third of the local races.
I voted absentee in PA. I am working the polls on Election Day. My Daughter at college in TN is also voting absentee. My wife will go to the polls.
Got my absentee ballot on October 8, turned it around and mailed it out October 9.
Welcome to FreeRepublic.
It's suppose to be wet tommorrow. Good day to get my oil changed and do my patriotic duty.
Hate to burst your bubble, but for every vote you cast there were fifteen more cast by dead, inner city Dems.
I just voted my California ballot recently, via absentee. Voted for Arnold, McClintock, Poochigian, Mountjoy and others.
I WILL NOT BE DETERRED BY THE PRO-DEMOCRAT MEDIA.
I voted two weeks ago from Japan, in VA. GO ALLEN!! GO DAVIS!!
Now I'm free to help the local GOP turn out the rest of the vote between now and November 7th.
They told me at the polling place where I voted that people were lined up at the door to vote before they even opened yesterday morning. They had another rush again at noon when people came to vote on their lunch hour.
This is the second time I've voted on the electronic machines. Both times it went flawlessly and I was out of there within 5 minutes after I showed my ID and was matched up on their computers.
My vote counted on Monday,10/23/06, here in Texas. A city worker commented that it had been busier Monday than the first early voting day during a presidential election. Said over 400 had voted Monday in my community of 14,000.
It felt SO GOOD.
How about the rest of you jokers!:-)
Me Too..... Straight Republican!
I voted early last week here in Jersey.
I will be in Florida with the kids on election day.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
I voted on the way to work.
Feels so good!
Although I still wish they'd give us a printout to keep so we could compare and make sure that it matches records of the vote. I asked the lady and she said it was illegal because it could result in, "Selling votes." I'd want something simple: You vote, you get a receipt, election ends, you run your VR number in the system's history on your prior votes and see if they match. If they don't, raise hell.
You didn't hear??? We are all disheartened and we don't want to vote.
I am shocked you didn't get the memo.
I voted last week too!
