The two recent debates between Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and her Republican opponent, John Spencer, may have lacked fireworks. Yesterday, however, the race was set astir by remarks that Mr. Spencer reportedly made before the first debate — comments about Mrs. Clinton’s sexuality and physical appearance. .
The columnist, Phil Reisman, said that he asked Mr. Spencer by telephone last week if he would use the debates to try to paint Mrs. Clinton as a liberal. “He said words to the effect of, ‘Well, you know me, words slip out, but I won’t call her a lesbian or anything,’ ” Mr. Reisman said. “He was definitely joking — he laughed after he said it.”

He can't raise money from the GOP so this gives him exposure.
I just don't believe that he would say something like that. He just did not give me that impression when I saw him on TV. Even during the debate he seemed polite. Just does not seem to be of his character.
I agree. I think the reporter on the plane was a plant. Just an excuse for The Arkansas Grifters to go into full attack mode and trash Spencer. They are already saying he must have been drinking.
Seems to me the "I'm not going to call her a lesbian" is a shot at Kerry and Edwards for how they just kept saying lesbian during those 2004 debates.
As always, Hillary pretends she IS a lady, has a WONDERFUL marriage to a low down pervert who brought the Whitehouse to a new low. And so...dear women, follow her....Kill your babies in the name of some God given right????, stand by your man at the risk of your children, take the abuse he hands out, subject your kids to "living homosexuality" in your schools, support the folks who are too lazy to work, the immigrants who come here illegally, etc, etc, etc. It's for the common good!!!

The post-debate quote/unquote analysis on the local Time Warner channel here in the People's Republic of Albany consisted of the studio host, Casey Kelly, all googly-eyed and referring to Her Heinous as "Hillary" as in "Hillary said this to that question," and "Hillary has such an overwhelming lead..." They had the typical hardline RAT supporter and deferential Republican nodding in agreement that it was a strong showing by Her Heinous. And then, just to round out the festivities, they brought in the political reporter for the station, Brian Taffe, who was one of the questioners, and he opened by characterizing the race as "David vs. Goliath"—psst, Brian, David won!— then ignoring the debate and the race so he could gush over how Her Heinous has such star power that unlike other candidates who rush off the stage, she stayed to sign autographs and talk to her adoring fans.
This is a hard leftist who viciously ran the travel office folks out of the White House amid bogus allegations of corruption within days of her husband taking over so the Klintoons could start paying back their Arkansas cronies, had FBI files stolen from both sides of the aisle (anyone who believes she only got Republican files just ain't thinkin'), proposed a nationalized healthcare plan that Marx would have been proud of, sold pardons for votes (FALN) and pardons for cash (Marc Rich), and directed her attack dogs to smear any woman who had the temerity to speak up after her husband did his usual grab and grind routine. Just to name a few of the things she did in eight years.
But this is the virtuous Saint Hillary the media sycophants and her slavish followers accuse us of besmirching. How dare we transgress so in exposing the real Hillary.
This is typical Hillery politics.
Since she got her ass handed to her in the debate, the only recorse was to have one of her operative plant the story on Spencer's remarks.
Now the media can concentrate on whether he appologizes enough for the remarks he didn't make.
Just like Lazio "invading Hillery's space" a non-event that the media blew all out of proportion to throw the election.
