Two robbers who thought they had an easy mark in a 68-year-old Omaha man were surprised on Sunday. Police said Earnest Coleman was sitting in his car outside an Omaha grocery store when a young man jumped into the passenger seat with a gun and demanded Coleman's money.
Coleman responded by grabbing the robber and his gun, and exchanging blows. A second robber came to Coleman's window and hit the elderly man, police said.
Undeterred, Coleman pulled that man into the car and began to hit him, too. The two robbers then ran away - without Coleman's money and without the gun.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage from security cameras, a spokesman said.
The robbers appeared to be teenagers, Coleman said.
He should get an award. I can not stop laughing.
Don't bring a gun to a fistfight!;)
Awwwwwh. Poor little loser criminal-wannabees never got to play tag or touch football during recess, and now when someone smacks them, they cry and run away.
Hopefully he belted them hard enough that one day they might thank him for it.
Well done Mister! You should have shot the bastards as they fled.
The perps Ran home to Mama,

Now, now. These poor boys are victims and need our understanding - not judgement. We must find out WHY they held up the elderly man and then give the appropriate counseling, schooling, financial aid, etc. they need.
OK, I'm gonna gag now.

He just may have saved their lives...if they learned their lesson, of course.
Must be something in the Geritol. :^)

I LOVE a story like that! Makes me smile. =)
I knew an older guy a few years ago... I sang at a function he hosted. He was small in stature. One night, he was walking in a not-so-friendly area in another town. He was such an easy target for 3 young, tough guys. Old, small, and well dressed.....this was gonna be easy. The tough guys even had knives. The small, elderly gentleman landed them all neatly in a pile until the police arrived. He was a Tae Kwon Do master, born in South Korea, and had been teaching in Missouri for over 20 years.
I still know the South Korean National Anthem, which I sang at a multi-national tournament where this elderly gentleman broke a brick over my very long hair without breaking a single strand.
If you choose to judge a book by it's cover, you might not get what you expected. =)
That's one tough senior citizen!
Ugh. Srewed up the post...Those are some other 60-something I would want to make mad :o).
Democrat yutes.
