Democrat Leaders Voted Against Measure and Support Open Borders

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Speaker of the House J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) and U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, M.D. (R-Tenn.) made the following statement after sending the Secure Fence Act to the President for his signature:
"Today we are transmitting H.R. 6061, Secure Fence Act of 2006, to the president. This legislation is a key component to keeping America safe and stemming the tide of illegal immigration. The American people demand a secure border and this Republican Congress has responded to the American people's demand for a secure border by increasing the physical barriers and infrastructure along the border and by providing state of the art monitoring technology. We look forward to the president's signature of this legislation.
"Unfortunately, the House and Senate Democrat Leaders voted against the Secure Fence Act. The democrat immigration plan would fail the American people, allow dangerous criminals into our country and would set our homeland security back to pre-9/11 levels."
"Unfortunately, the House and Senate Democrat Leaders voted against the Secure Fence Act. "
I'm shocked.
So the 10 day clock starts now!
IOW, the House and Senate DemoCRAP leaders are standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Bush Administration.
I will be shocked if Bush signs this into law.
The fence is only for some flat ground: I see big problems with this:
(C) EXCEPTION- If the topography of a specific area has an elevation grade that exceeds 10 percent, the Secretary may use other means to secure such area, including the use of surveillance and barrier tools.'.
Unfortunately, the House and Senate Republican Leaders wrote the bill so that Bush doesn't have to build it, using the money for other items such as "and by providing state of the art monitoring technology" meaning - Boeing and other entities who can kick back campaign contributions.
They knew Bush pulled the stunt before, not funding appropriatations for new border patrol agents. They didn't make the wall mandatory, this bill is a failure IMO.

Bazookas?
Hogwash! It's not as if there are already laws on the books so another one isn't going to make any difference. If they aren't going to enforce the law or fund a fence, they're wasting my tax dollars.
This doesn't mean anything unless all of the monies truly go towards the "fence legislation" and nothing else. I have doubts that this legislation along with other "illegal immigration reform legislation" will be carried out to the fullest, and the entire U.S. will end up falling apart even more because "open borders" and "illegal immigration favoritism" continues onwards. The President also still wants his guest worker plan for all of the illegals that are already here to become real, and the President still also wants his plan for the very socialistic "North American Union", which would fully emulate what's presently going on with the European Union, to be fully carried out on the entire North American continent! What a mess coming up soon throughout North America!

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi meets with anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan in the United States Capitol. Rep. Pelosi has repeatedly called for the Bush Administration to provide Congress with a plan providing benchmarks for determining when U.S. troops in Iraq could be brought home.
I have a novel idea... full and total enforcement of ALL existing immigration laws.
We don't need a fence, we don't need more laws. Enforce what's already been passed into law.
Guilt by association -
Pelosi-Sheehan - Hugo Chavez ...
"If they aren't going to enforce the law or fund a fence,"
They are funding a fence.
