His son, her brother, Tommy, III, was also Mayor. As Mayor he was charged with corruption. The charges were dismissed when the critical witness disappeared. The witness surfaced in a (mob-connected?) Las Vegas casino, right after the charges were dropped.
But that wasn't Tommy, III's, first experience with such results. As a young man, he was charged with rape. Again, the charges were dismissed when the witness "disappeared."
I know about this because I was running for Baltimore City Council when Tommy, III, and Councilman Mimi DiPietro had their corruption charges dropped. And, for a brief time, I lived next door to the D'Alesandros.
In advance, I spit on this "profile." In the off chance that my guess is wrong, I will apologize profusely.

The final get-out-the-vote ad for the RNC this season should be some film of Pelosi histrionics and a screen that says "Do you want this woman two steps away from the Presidency?"
An addendum to that is the question: Do you want her, Charlie Rangel, Henry Waxman, John Lewis, Maxine Waters, John Murtha, et al, in charge of the Armed Services Committee, House Ways and Means, etc.

For those who don't already know this,
Pelosi supported Gerry Studds' reelection campaign in 1983 even after it was revealed Studds had had a sexual relationship with a page.
So Pelosi's faux outrage at Dennis Hastert over Mark Foley is laughable.
After looking at the pelosi photos,this woman is a raving lunatic and full of hate for all things NORMAL.
Thanks for posting some of her family background. It saved my some typing. I though the old man did some prison time though. Just a little thing like lining his pockets with the people's money.
One wonders how she and her husband acquired all their millions?
