“We’re going to be growing for the next 50 or 100 years, but it’s not because of the birthrate,” said John Bongaarts, vice president of the Population Council, a nonprofit in New York. “If the birthrate were to drop we’d have a very different future ahead. If we were not living longer and had no migrants we wouldn’t be growing at all.”
The U.S. will keep getting more racially and ethnically diverse — by 2043, it will be about 15 percent non-Hispanic black, 8 percent Asian and 24 percent Hispanic.

Population predictions made in the past have been notoriously inaccurate.
Check out Ehrlich's The Population Bomb (1968) for a good example.

That would be about the total population of Mexico. If Mexicans are going to keep coming in such large numbers, Mexico should just be taken over. Assimilating 110 million (including those in the United States already) in one shot could be easier than trying to assimilate a smaller group of Mexicans constantly reinforced by newcomers from the south. Also, this is a high point of American culture. If the United States' power wanes, the ability to assimilate could weaken.

If Mexico were taken over, then it would be legal, and Americans would have access to Mexico's resources, and could buy property, etc. The Mexicans would obviously be getting the most of such a situation, but at least in this scenario Americans could get a little more in return.

If being the primary word. The government does not seem to be willing or could be unable to monitor all the American businesses hiring illegal aliens, and as long as the aliens are more expedient than American workers, they will be used. Not how it should be, but how it is.
