CNN Airs Terrorist Sniper Killing US Soldier Del Williams
October 19, 2006
CNN aired a terrorist sniper killing a US soldier. They blacked out the screen when the bullet hit, but that did not stop the sound or description that they went on to share.
According to CNN, The graphic video of 10 sniper attacks was obtained by CNN -- through intermediaries --from the Islamic Army of Iraq, one of the most active insurgent organizations in Iraq.
Are critics correct in their assessment that CNN is full of terrorist sympathizers? Well, after their report on In the Footsteps of Bin Laden, there might be a case.
Why did the terrorist feel confident in sending CNN the footage? They did not just receive one tape, but multiple; all confirmed in the validity of the actions that the sniper took.
One of CNNs analysts called the sniper attacks the most effective thing they have seen. The deadly tactic is one the U.S. military also uses to take out insurgents, according to CNN. They seem be telling them how good they are at using our strategies to kill our men.
Whether someone agrees with the war or not is immaterial. The point is that some people have the audacity to kill our men and send our news organizations the footage to show of it. That takes a lot of chutzpah for any enemy that America has. It takes even more for an American owned company to broadcast.
I know that there is freedom of the press, but has CNN ever heard of decency? Do they think because they are Friends with the enemy that that will stop them from kidnapping one of their journalists? Perhaps it was just a showing to beat the competition, but maybe the competition has enough class not to show an American being gunned down by a terrorist.
I haven't seen it, nor do I care to, but am very worried for the family at home of the slain soldier .. to have lost him would be unbearable, but to have his death shown on worldwide tv and now the internet as a propaganda tool is just way beyond the pale.
Proudly and loudly boycotting CNN since 1998 !
CNN is pond scum
I really don't understand your graphic. Why do you have a picture from Cambodia mixed with shots of 9/11?
Do you have a link to their remarks section? Thanks.
Not voting? That's just stupid and childish......what on earth good would not voting do?
Don't come back here whining about things if you don't cast your vote.......
I just sent my 'opinion' of this travesty to CNN. Nitwits.
A Gator could think about and figure it out
Different viewers see different things
There is not manual required

If I had to explain everything.....
I got the link from this site.
Let me see if I can find it.
See Post Number 30 on this story. The link is there :)
"While I support the war because we have to finish what we started, I find it fascinating that so many here that are posting that are against the war feel it is important to see the "unvarnished truth." And yet these same posters have no desire for CNN or any other tv news channel to show videos of people jumping from the twin towers on 9/11 because they would be too gruesome, or troubling, or disturbing etc. How about videos of Iraqi torture (throwing men with hands tied behind their back and throwing them off a 3-story building just for starters) under Sadaam? How about insurgent videos killing Iraqi civilians, police recruits? How about the video of Nick Berg having his head slowly cut off? How about the Mohammed Cartoons that set off riots that killed hundreds? This is the same network that's head honcho Eason Jordan admitted that CNN didn't show the "unvarnished truth" of Sadaam's brutality because he/CNN wanted to keep a bureau in Iraq and also to insure the safety of all employees. Such an agreement creates a reporting environment lorded over by censorship. It does, and did not, show the "unvarnished truth."
Well I am starting a list of Freepers that say they will not vote. Then after the election, no matter what the outcome, whenever I see a post of yours I will remind Freepers of your choice and suggest that no one respond to your posts. You of course could still post but it would a lonely debate amongst yourself.
Thank you so very much.
Absolutely brilliant cartonn. Thanks for posting.
They locked the thread at 12:40 Eastern. Typical marxists.
You are in our prayers! We want to keep that blue star in the window!
Since yesterday Rush brought up who delivered the tapes and why hasn't CNN turned them in - I am very comfortable with my view on this. What do you think the Nuremberg Trials were all about? Do you know who Julius Streicher is? He was a "journalist" too...
