Morning, snugs.

I made a pot roast in my crock pot Thursday. It turned out great.

Nancy, I used a modified version of your pot roast recipe so I could make a tastier gravy. I had only the dried French Onion soup, so I used that and added a beef bouillon cube to the water. The gravy turned out to be very tasty.

Yummy sounds great. I am doing one for dad and me today. With some turkey breast and the gravy will be the stock made from the chicken we had for roast last weekend boiled up with carrots, onion, parsnip, swede, green beans, mushroom soup mix and gravy granuals.

I will probably serve it with suet dumplings which I will do when we get in tonight as today is the Bromley trip.

Morning snugs. I just got up and managed to get my tea without tripping over one of the kittens. I did forget to pick a toaster pic. I'd like the first one in post #12. That would be just right. Thanks so much.

I choose NOT to buy their ice cream BECAUSE of their politics.!!!

I went without ice cream this week because it was the only brand in stock. There are other brands that are just as good.

I have to admit I have not bought it for a long time since I found out about their politics but I cannot put my hand on my heart and say that I would never buy it again if I really fancied some.

In fact I have only recently bought a few Heinz products basically because certain items dad prefers the taste to other makes and I take the view at his age he deserves to eat what he likes.
