The First Lady spoke at the Preserve America Summit at the U.S. Custom House in New Orleans

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on her Asian trip had meetings in Japan and Korea.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld attended U.S. Southern Command change of command ceremony in Miami, Florida.

I didn't post to you last night, Nord, and say I agreed that BOR was trying to look intimidating by having the entire interview standing up.

I LOVED the President's joking about not being as big as BOR was, though.....very classy.

And overall, I really liked Bill in those interviews. He seemed to really care that the Presidnent was getting abused............and I liked the discussion afterward that Laura was his 'filter' and his 'ballast' and that their relationship was so strong.

People need to hear that with all the leftist garbage out there.

Oh, I agree, our dear President did fantastic--veary classy (the very fact that W was put in the position to have to make a joke was what made me mad), and on content BOR was right on, I agree there, too. I love when W gets out there so JQ Public can see him like this. Then, they can't help but like the guy; but so much of TV is perception, and because hubby and I have a video business, so...I guess I'm a bit upset from a professional standpoint...his handlers should have known MUCH better than to let their boss be put in a walk and talk. I found it distracting.

You, snugs, maica, and I ....what'd yah say...we have a talk with W's handlers, and SPLAIN it to them all proper like ;-) ????

I saw your comments last night, Nord--and was pleased to read yours tonight, Ohio. My parents are here visiting for a month and it has been a crazy week. I have not seen any of the interview save for a couple of clips and a few pictures online. I plan to watch it online over the weekend.

I am thrilled that our GWB did so well (and not surprised!). I am shocked, however, that the whole interview was done standing up. The height diff was so great that it looked odd and definitely seemed distracting. I am really surprised that GWB's people allowed that--and also that he had to borrow a tie that look good on tv. Ugh. However, we here know that GWB is a very confident, strong man--and this probably bothers us more than him! I don't like, though, that the opposition can have a field day with this.

I never think that the Shieffer brothers look alike maybe if I saw a photo of them together I might see the similarities.
