My daughter and I went to an Hispanic History Month event at her school. The speaker asked how many people spoke spanish, it was about 2/3rds of the audience, and she said it was great that she could talk both to 'her' spanish-speaking brethren And the "english-speaking" people.

She later said that it was great that we had all come to realise the melting pot was bad, and that we had learned that instead of all having to join the "white culture", we could all celebrate our own cultures.

About 1/3rd of her speech was spanish. She was using the word "celebration" as an acronym, and "n" was for "nations", since she said there was no reason we couldn't celebrate both the american nation AND our own nations.

Home schooling is the wave of the future. Too bad EVERYONE has to pay for this garbage whether they have children or not.

Interesting. As long as people have "their nation" and "their culture", they are not part of our nation or our culture. My ancestors came here from Norway and Translyvania because those places SUCKED. I presume that is why the mexicans came here, because Mexico SUCKS. If they came here because Mexico is such a great place, with wonderful opportunities, then they are STUPID. If, as I suspect, they really came here because Mexico is just another third world country with no freedom, no opportunity and no government of the people, by the people and for the people, with no Constitution or real rights, then why are they so "proud" of such a place?

Don't really expect an answer, but I am curious.

The speaker was obviously a leftist and now you have given ammunition to those on FR who will say that every hispanic is to the left of fidel castro.

The thing that gets me on these threads is that some on FR will blame the hispanic students, while they are silent about the NEA/leftist controlled public schools.
