Pledge to Mexican Flag Captured on School Video(Is this a great country or what!)

A radio station in Houston has posted on its website two video clips of a Texas elementary school "diversity" assembly where a volunteer leads students in saying a pledge of allegiance to the Mexican flag.

Station KTRH has posted both a video clip showing elementary students cheering and waving Mexican flags, and a separate clip showing people the school described as volunteers leading students in the pledge in Spanish.

The story by Scott Braddock of KTRH notes that "whether students also recited the Mexican pledge remains a point of contention," however the audio clearly indicates that students are reciting the pledge along with the volunteer leader, because their voices can be heard finishing the final phrase well after the volunteer has finished.

Sam Williams, the school's longtime principal, has said, in hindsight, he would have done things “differently.” He has also apologized to anyone who may have been offended.

Some apology. A real apology would have been: "I am sorry I offended the United States. It won't happen again and should never happened in the first place."

Agreed. If his actual apology was "I apologize to anyone who may have been offended", then it is nothing but double speak for "if you don't like it, too bad". A real apology expresses sincere regret for one's own actions.

Baker said the recitation was especially offensive since the U.S. is in the middle of a serious dispute over illegal immigration and the huge ramifications the nation faces from not having a secured border with Mexico.

IT'S "ESPECIALLY OFFENSIVE" SINCE MEXICO REFUSED TO SEND ONE SOLDIER TO HELP IN THE WAR ON TERROR! What the h&!! are these people thinking?

I found the song:
"So Long, Texas -- Hello, Mexico!"
On the internet,Just search the title.
I think this is a very humorous and certainly revealing look at the illegal immigration and border security crisis in this country through the music of Johnny Tex and the Texicans.

I love it! And if you live in California you can really relate to this catchy tune. (SMILE).....

Nationally known CNN syndicated talk-show personality, Lou Dobbs, featured the song on his September 14, 2006 website.

"He has also apologized to anyone who may have been offended."

Translation:

"I have a Stanford-Benet I.Q. under 80, and I apologize for having my secretary write this apology" : )

"Why are they 'proud' of such a place"?
I suspect it has more to do with Race than Place.

"Interesting. As long as people have "their nation" and "their culture", they are not part of our nation or our culture. My ancestors came here from Norway and Translyvania because those places SUCKED. I presume that is why the mexicans came here, because Mexico SUCKS. If they came here because Mexico is such a great place, with wonderful opportunities, then they are STUPID. If, as I suspect, they really came here because Mexico is just another third world country with no freedom, no opportunity and no government of the people, by the people and for the people, with no Constitution or real rights, then why are they so "proud" of such a place?"

good question....plus I just saw a cable show on armored vehicle manufacturing for civilians....and it centered around guess what?...Mexico City...and it was stated :
"Mexico City is the most dangerous city in the western
hemisphere" and the elite there were buying personal armored vehicles at the highest rate anywhere....
so much for our friendly neighbors to the south...
if we don't do something about it US cites will follow suit one by one...I have no interest in any culture that supports corruption, violence and miserable living conditions ...
Latin Americans are always saying they are being demonized..
they are doing that to themselves and are responsible for the sad state their third-world cesspool countries...

Home schooling is the wave of the future. Too bad EVERYONE has to pay for this garbage whether they have children or not.

What is even worse is that those spend their own money to home school their children also have to pay for the garbage.

The teachers responsible should get the "San Patricio" treatment that that great American Winfield Scott dealt out to similar traitors outside Mexico City.

I never thought I would see such a craven, despicable act in the "Land of the free and the home of the brave".

Somebody should mail this tape to the White House.

I think it is very telling that amongst all of your WND bashing you have not once condemned what happened in the article. Very telling.
