Massive Voter Manipulation?
vanity | 10/19/2006 | Rob Kitchen

Posted on 10/19/2006 8:12:15 AM PDT by Conservative_Rob

Please forgive this vanity, but I don't know where else to go to ask this question.

Is there a coordinated and deliberate attempt by the media and Democrat plants at blog sites to distort and outright lie about everything concerning this election in order to manipulate voters?

I live in the heart of Santorum country in Pennsylvania, and now I'm being told that, even here, Casey is ahead. I don't buy it. I am feeling lied to and being taken for a fool.

No one I know has even the slightest thought of sitting out, or not voting, or even voting for the opponent in order to "punish" the Republicans. Everyone I know sees the improvement in the economy, knows the need to fight terrorism in the Middle East instead of here, and wants to fight illegal immigration at our borders and in the workplaces. They all know that the positions of the two major political parties are diametrically opposed on all of these issues. They see a clear and distinct difference between the Republicans and Democrats.

So, where are these millions of anti-Republican voters? Am I to believe that Americans are so stupid as to vote for the Communist Party because of Mark Foley’s instant messages to adult sexual partners?? Is the political process in this country so broken that voters can be led around like little sheep and tricked into voting for whomever the media tells them to??

I am convinced that the internet is being targeted by the Democrat party by flooding conservative message boards with fake messages from supposed disenfranchised conservatives to promote discord and a defeatist atmosphere. DON'T BUY INTO IT!!! As Rush says, “Why would anyone use a strategy of defeat in order to win??”

My prayers are for a Republican gain in both houses. If, as has happened in the past, the Democrats do not win like the news media has told us it would, I want an investigation into the manipulative media practices of the pollsters and the major news outlets into their use of inaccurate and outright fraudulent new stories (i.e., fake and skewed polls) to attempt to manipulate the outcome of an election. I equate the political news reporting this election season to an effort to tell Republican voters that their election will be held on Wednesday instead of Tuesday in order to reduce crowding at the polls.

If the media’s use of fake polls and selective reporting is successful in changing Congress, then the future of this Republic is in question, and the day of the revolution will be that much closer. I can’t believe that the so called “hard nose“ conservatives who see no good in the current activities of the Republican party want to send this country several steps closer to a Socialist or Communist people’s paradise in what looks like a 7 year old’s temper tantrum.

I am a “hard nose” conservative who supported Pat Toomey over Arlen Specter, and I see plenty to fault the Republican party with, but I will not simply “take my marbles and go home” because I’m not getting my way. I am angry that there wasn’t a legitimate Republican primary in Pennsylvania this year, but I won’t sit out the election just because the party leadership in this state is somewhat corrupt and needs changing. Rick Santorum is a good senator and deserves to be reelected. He is not perfect, but he is a lot more conservative than Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy, Chuckie Schumer, and Hillary Clinton, and I will not allow my actions or inactions to promote their Socialist, defeatist, agenda one little bit. Why would anyone who believes in limited and responsible government do anything that would result in overbearing and irresponsible government??

If you look at the turnout at the primaries, the Republicans showed up in much greater numbers than the Democrats. They know this, so their only hope to win is to reduce the number of Republican voters on November 7. Show them that you can not be manipulated. Go out and VOTE!!!

Don't forget voter fraud. Democrats need both manipulation and fraudulent votes to win.

I agree with the entire article, especially this line. The MSM and its pundits have overplayed this non-story to the point of being ludicrous.

Lynn Swan already picked it up. He's running it against Ed.

Pa Ratz are like the Keystone Kops. Casey is dumber than dirt and I would have loved to listen in on that call the day after they ran that ad.

"Bobbie, YOU DUMB F***, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?"

"Duh, geez Ed, what's the matter? Pa voters arn't that smart, are they?"

The Republican party is doing almost as good as job as the MSM to suppress voter turnout.

Just one example of collusion:

Mature and Incurably Green [ABC admits MSM conferring with Dems?]--amazing how brazen they have become

LOL.. glad you got it.

We should teach the media a lesson and vote en-masse to show them how we respond to their tactics.

There seems a certain naivite expressed here. For the Democrats and liberals in general that has been SOP for many years. They have no principles other than getting power so that they can implement policies in accord with their principles. When Truth is relative and Reality is a mental construct then anything is permissible.

I've adopted a new tag-line in light of the recent wall to wall screaming from the drive-by media about how the GOP is going to lose this election by conservatives staying home...

A liberal friend from Philly has predicted higher than normal Democrat turnout in Southeastern Pennslvanna.

I read that to mean that the Democrats will be bussing voters over the border from New Jersey. I suspect that the Democrats will steal another election in your state.

I think that will happen and the R's will "surprise" all the pundits and pollsters.

What I want to know is, when that happens, what are the consequences that the obviously-manipulative pundits and pollsters? How can they be held to account for this raving dishonesty?

There is no difference between "the media" and the Democrat party. The media is the Democrat Party's free party advertizing and pollster. Trying to make you upset and doubtful about Republican chances - demoralizing you- is the object of the Party's media every election. Think Tass. The "media' told us Kerry was way ahead of Bush in the 2004 election. They will tell you every election that the Demos are going to take over the Congress...according to the party papers' polls. Watch 'em and then watch them melt down after the election and they lose...again.

A Republican victory, combined with the aged illness of a supreme court liberal would be sufficient I think.
