Is monkey-in-the middle still permitted, or has the ACLU snatched hold of that one? Just wondering.

Does anyone else here over 30 wonder how in the heck we all survived our childhoods without cell phones, being taken everywhere never having to walk, playing dodgeball, no internet.
Wow we are amazing.
To: Redcitizen
Put the children into straight jackets and spoon feed them socialist pablum. (/s if needed)

Hope the country's happy with the "litigation" society we now have. There's a ambulance chasing lawyer behind every tree just waiting for the chance to represent some poor victim in a financial lawsuit.Could be someone who smoked for 35 yrs., got cancer and decided the tobacco companies were the blame or a fat guy who overate at McDonald's and decided to sue Micky D's for making their food too easy to buy. Now it's kids playing tag in a school yard. It may be a free society but these freedoms are getting awfully expensive !!!

The "Slip and Fall" Liars For Hire win again! These same people claim that our children are too obese!!What am I missing?

Why do you think most children of Washington officials ALL go to private schools?? Gee, let me think about that one....
Against School vouchers, but their kids don't go to Public Schools: Ted Kennedy, Osama bin Barak OBama, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and those are just the hypocrites I can name off the top of my head.

Another Willett parent, Celeste D'Elia, said her son feels safer because of the rule. "I've witnessed enough near collisions," she said. How is this mother witnessing anything that happens at recess?
BTW, my two daughters go to this school.
It has one of those old metal slides, metal swings and a playground made from old telephone poles.
No safety issues there...

Next time my 3 homeschooled kids - *gasp* - wrestle in the family room (sometimes TOO CLOSE to the brick fireplace!) or rip through the house chasing and tackling each other in various places (sometimes they pass TOO CLOSE to sharp countertop edges!), instead of catching my breath at the near misses and yelling at the miniature herd of elephants, I think I'll just sit down, think of these poor kids in Attleboro, and smile at my own. In our house, we sometimes play tag in the house... after dark with all the lights turned off.

They would really scream about playing splits with our pocket knives when I was in elementary school.

Did they ever close that club that earned you the moniker "Paddleboro"?

When all the playgrounds, amusement parks, eateries and hospitals are shut down?
Boy, am I happy my kids are past the "tag" stage. Imagine, not being allowed to play tag or capture the flag, and then wonder why kids get high for amusement.

TAG ???? Jeepers!!! That's such a sissy game.
I use to hop freight trains, tie my sled to cars, climb to the top of billboards, climb up to the repair shelf under the train tracks to drop water balloons on unsuspecting pedestrians, etc.
Yeah, I know - today I would be on Ritalin for life. Mom and Dad would be charged with neglect or worse.

We used to play tackle football, and it's other variation; Smear the Queer. We are turning our boys into fat sniveling lumps, who don't have any way of channeling their natural aggression. When a society decides it's best to "Dope em'up and coop em' up" it brings us that much closer to our downfall.

I'm not surprised by this at all. MA is such a Nanny State, because of the liberal goobers who run things at all levels.

If the school board is fearful of lawsuits (admittedly, they probably know their students' parents somewhat), having those parents sign a hold-harmless agreement would certainly be out of the question, too, because that would take away the parents' and childrens' rights, correct? Certainly can't have that either; it would cause them knee-jerk revulsion.
Oh, what a tangled web the Left weaves with the Mommy State!
