Rove foresees GOP victory
White House political strategist Karl Rove yesterday confidently predicted that the Republican Party would hold the House and the Senate in next month's elections, dismissing fallout from the sex scandal involving former Rep. Mark Foley.
At a luncheon with editors and reporters at The Washington Times, Mr. Rove -- who is widely credited as the architect of the party's historic 2002 midterm election gains -- said Republicans are beginning to make significant headway in defining their party's differences from congressional Democrats, especially on national security.
"I'm confident we're going to keep the Senate; I'm confident we're going to keep the House. The Foley matter has impact in some limited districts, but the research we have shows that people are differentiating between a vote for their congressman and a member from Florida," Mr. Rove said, referring to the Republican who resigned last month after his sexually explicit online messages to former congressional pages were discovered.

And when was he last wrong?
I predict that the Foley matter really hurt the GOP with the moonbat vote.
Makes me think that the Left sees the writing on the wall and knows that Karl is correct, as usual.
To hear this message en espanol press "2":
If he pulls this off he will be.
LOL. So will the falling gas prices.
The above coming from an "Einstein" who tore off his webb bumpersticker when hillary campaigned for webb.
Do you live in your own little world and think people can see your transparency.
Not to mention the Dow topping 12,000 ...
If there is a big GOP voter turnout it'll be the greatest indication yet of the power of the new media.
Have you noticed that the media suddenly thinks the stock market doesn't impact middle class voters? As I recall during the dot.com bubble the media was full of stories about how the stock market had become politically important.
I agree. Barking moonbats who weren't going to vote Republican anyway, REALLY aren't going to vote Republican now.
The Left loses elections, even with major propping up by the media. Leftwing outlets (NYT, Boston Globe, Katie Couric, etc.) are losing market share bigtime. The country is not buying the kool-aid anymore. At some point -- I have to believe -- these enormous media companies are going to give it up and say "Let's give the people what they want."
And if that ever happens (the Truth will out) we will start to see hard-hitting exposes in the MSM such as "Worst President Ever -- Carter or Clinton?" and "Racism in America -- How the Democrats did it for 150 years".
Then the election results will start to get VERY interesting.
The lib journalists won't go down without a fight.
Apparently my world is a lot larger than yours, Bushbot as it allows criticism of a good man but an inept POTUS and it certainly allows excoriation of dirtbags who happen to be in the GOP. So, go back to your little room and bow down to folks like Mark Foley, Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney and Richard Nixon simply because they are called "Republicans"!
And on frigen election day!!
I'm stiill waiting for the "surprise" he promised.
"The Republican Party is pretty much a white Christian party"... Howard Dean..
