WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. officials say North Korea's military has informed China it intends to carry out a series of underground nuclear tests, NBC News reported on Tuesday.
No further details were provided in the report.
The United States said North Korea had moved equipment into place that may indicate it plans a second nuclear test, despite international condemnation of its first underground nuclear explosion on October 9.
North Korea has denounced U.N. sanctions over its nuclear test as a declaration of war.
They only gave China 20 minutes warning last time. Monitor USGS.
We haven't lit on of our own off in decades. Let's respond by testing one of our own. Not underground, but 10,000 ft. over Pyonyang. Lot's of innocent people will die, but death is probably better than living in North Korea.
The obvious solution and neighborly thing to have the US carry out these nuclear tests on behalf of North Korea. The NK leadership can be eyewitnesses.
Might as well be. We need to find out what the Vegas odds are on Seoul or Tokyo being hit with the arty barrage. I say Seoul gets leveled first, after we respond with harsh diplomatic letters.
Good thing too...let them use up all their bomb fuel in the process.
bttt
I suppose these tests will start Wednesday Far East time.
LOLOLOL...........
Wow, 13 posts and no "this is series" jokes. Are we maturing?
I mean, after all, their doing it in their own country. Perhaps they'll create a giant hole and fall into the abyss.
which is the current time in the Far West
Any comment from the UN about this?
In 2 years, when the dims get in, they'll load 'em back up.

SEOUL (AFP) - North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il has made his first public appearance since the communist country's nuclear test last week, the North's state media said.
Kim, accompanied by top military and party officers, attended a performance by the song and dance ensemble of the Korean People's Army, the official Korean Central News Agency said.
"He waved back to the enthusiastically cheering artists and audience and congratulated them on their successful performance," it said.
The agency did not say when or where the art performance was staged, only that it was held to mark the 80th anniversary on October 17 of the formation of a group known as the Down With Imperialism Union.
It was Kim's first known public appearance since the country conducted an underground nuclear test on October 9. His last reported public appearance was on October 5.
The reclusive leader often disappears from the public eye following key events or actions in North Korea.
He remained out of the public eye for 40 days after his country test-fired missiles in early July.
Seriously, millions of NKoreans have already starved to death; while "peacenicks" talked about the virtues of Stalinism. N00B
