If you do not vote, then do not complain

I've been reading so many posts from FReepers who said they are not going to vote or will vote for a third party to "show Republicans that I don't support their actions."
Quite frankly, I am very disappointed in many of the actions of Republicans who are supposed to be Conservative. By nature, I am more of a supporter of the Constitution Party because the United States Constitution is what makes America unique. All else is secondary.
Regardless, when I think about the larger issue, America's security, I cannot bring myself not to vote for the Republicn party. The Constitution party will never win. My objective is more focussed on getting more Republicans to think more about the Constitution and forget socialism, and political correctness.
It is obvious that the Democrats' hatred of our President is so deep that they do not love our countyr.
Kerry, Pelosi, Murtha are exemplary of so many Democrats.
If you don't vote... Don't complain when the Democrats decide to pull another Viet Nam and commit us to defeat.
They just want to embolden our enemies, causing more death to our military, and more attempts like 9-11.
If Democrats take over Congress, those here who did not vote have themselves to thank.

And please don't say you would vote for some 3rd party candidate - might as well vote for the dim or not vote at all.
No, we should all keep voting the straight R ticket, no matter who the person is or how their voting records has been. That way, they'll know they can do anything they like and we'll just keep on supporting them like mindless sheep. (This kind of thinking is what got us on the brink of a 20+ million illegal amnesty. Yes - the Dems would be worse and many Republicans did the right thing. But many did not.)
I say keep the good ones, but the others aren't much different from their Democratic opponents.

Don't believe 1/10th of those who say they will sit it out over one issue or another.. there are so many HSW trolls trying to split conservative votes they give a very false impression.
No matter what our opinions are on how X issue was handled, the question in our mind really should be, would it be handled better if the dems were in power? I would rather have 50% rightward momentum than 100% leftward momentum.

When offered a choice between plates of tainted meat and moldy bread, don't complain if you don't actually eat one. You know, that's the way I feel about a lot of the candidates. I wish we had more Constitutionalists in the Republican party.

Ever hear of convictions?Ever hear of incrementalism? Sometimes, we have to be content to get a little of what we want at a time. The democrats sure know about incrementalism, and they wait as long as it takes.

"I wouldn't either - in a primary. But I wouldn't vote for Hillary or JFnK over one of them. And please don't say you would vote for some 3rd party candidate - might as well vote for the dim or not vote at all." If those are the only choices, what would be the point of voting for either of them? Either way, a liberal wins. I refuse to turn the GOP over to liberals, no matter who runs.

Nonsense. Refusing to vote is simply a method of withdrawing consent from the creeps in DC regardless of their party. It's not my preferred method of resistance (wacky write-in votes are more fun), but I admire anyone who proudly remains home on election day (doubly so if they are Democrats).

If someone votes twice does that mean they can complain twice as much? I say yes, because it seems like democrats are ALWAYS complaining.

Your comment completely ignores the primary process, which is both important to our country and our party.
The time for only voting for conservatives is called the primary. That's the time to teach candidates a lesson. But voting 3rd party or for the democrat in a general election does nothing but give the democrats the power they crave and the opportunity (which they always take) to ruin our country.

And to show you that I am really conservative, I have to vote for those in Congress who voted for giving 20+million lawbreakers amnesty and voted for huge spending bills? Ironic. Those are both liberal agendas.Oh, I know. You're preaching to the choir on the immigration issue. I've ripped W on this issue more than anyone on FR has been.
I've posted this many times because it typifies W's open border / amnesty for ILLEGALS policy..

It took over 40 years for the Republicans to regain control of Congress. And now immediately, the party begins accepting liberals in order to "win". What good is control if they are liberal? Nominate conservatives, and I will always vote a straight GOP ticket. Nominate RINOs and I will abandon the GOP quicker than you can say McCain or Giuliani.

Ever hear of incrementalism? Sometimes, we have to be content to get a little of what we want at a time. Yeah, but when we are incrementing towards the Dem party, I'd rather have no part in it.

If you do not vote, then do not complain That sums it up very nicely and voting for a third party has the same effect as not voting.

If you think everyone here should vote Republican, regardless of their positions on issues, you must be crazy. I would never vote for a Giuliani or McCain just because they have a (R) after their name on a ballot. Ever hear of convictions? So the equivalent of Murtha, Pelosi, Kerry is more to your liking?

I understand. We are between a rock and a hard spot. The lesser of two evils (much lesser) is to vote RINO vs not at all and allow DIMs to take over.
I focus on the primaries as that is where I can make the most difference in getting one of our kind on the ballot.
I too hate bening given a no choice choice.
