Senator Hillary Clinton has said that she supports legalizing the torture of a captured terror suspect who knows abut "an imminent threat to millions of Americans".
This, she said was an exception to her opposition to torture.
"If we're going to be preparing for the kind of improbable but possible eventuality, then it has to be done within the rule of law," the New York Daily News quoted Hillary as saying in a phone interview on Friday.
She said the "ticking time bomb" scenario represented a narrow exception to her opposition to torture as morally wrong, ineffective and dangerous to American soldiers.
"In the event we were ever confronted with having to interrogate a detainee with knowledge of an imminent threat to millions of Americans, then the decision to depart from standard international practices must be made by the President, and the President must be held accountable," she said.
"That very, very narrow exception within very, very limited circumstances is better than blasting a big hole in our entire law," she added.
I am all for selective torture, but even I would object to subjecting anyone to Mrs. Bill Clinton in the nude.
Torture as punishment is never acceptable. Torture of a bad guy as an instrument for saving the life of a good guy is always acceptable.
Just have the prisoner spend a night with Hillary--that'll be torture enough.

Clinton, the Terrorist Enabler: "If you or anyone else dares to damage my legacy,
we shall either use our FBI files on you, or treat you to three words from my wife."
only if they are female
she killed all those people? /s ?
"Her liberal friends all know that she says these things in hopes of getting elected and she is not serious and for them, thats OK."
Ding ding ding...We have a winner!

'Hillary' and 'torture' in the same sentence is rather pleonastic.
i don't think the chief interrogator has had any experience with men. i may be wrong.
Yes....she will fight like HECK to keep President Bush from having any of the "power" of a POTUS/CIC....but, she also is making it clear that "when" she is POTUS/CIC....SHE will not be held to the same standards!!!
Plus, she HAS to get closer to the middle....
What a phoney beeeeatch.
Agreed.
"So, I guess Hillary thinks torture should be common, normalized, and funded by tax dollars."
If she did, she would be right.
And if we performed the torture on pay-per-view, we wouldn't even need tax dollars; it would be a major profit center of the government. The Romans figured that one out.
LOL>...best post of the thread!!
Hillary prefers the ol' ashtray-head tap method of torture...
She's right of course. And of course she didn't come to being right by giving it some thought, she did so by polling. There's a lesson in there for republicans everywhere this campaign season.

Torture is a very effective deterrent of crime.
The Bahamas have reinstated the cat-o-nine tails as part of criminal punishment. Judges report that nobody who receives the cat ends up back in front of them.
WHen you are dealing with the poor and socially assisted, you cannot take their money: they have none. We let nobody starve. In and out jail sentences hold no terrors. Corporal punishment is cheap, and makes a big impression on the mind, bigger than anything else we could do. THAT is why people are so horrified by it. It is horrifying. Which is precisely why it is effective in a way that other punishments are not.
To Hillary, does village = torture?
