10 Questions for Tim McGraw
Time Magazine ^ | October 23, 2006 issue | Jeff Chu

It's innate in me to be a Democrat--a true Southern populist kind of Democrat. There's not a lot of those anymore. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong. That's just the way I feel. The issues that matter to me are the social safety nets for people, health care, middle-class concerns. We need to take care of the middle class and the poor in our country. The chasm is getting larger between haves and have-nots, and that's something we need to close down a little bit.

Shut up and sing Tim.

These celebrities are just too damn funny. They need to learn that they are NOT descended from the "philosophers" of old, they are descended from the "jesters" of old. He needs to stick to his main gig - making pretty noise for the amusement of others.

I don't care how stupid he is, I'd do him.

In a heartbeat.

"The chasm is getting larger between haves and have-nots, and that's something we need to close down a little bit."

OK Tim Call your accountant, have him liquidate your assets, take 90% of it and give it to the charity of your choice.

Now you should feel all better!

Ridding yourself of 80% of your families vast fortune might help to close the chasm. But I won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

Tim's father, Tug, was my favorite Met growing up, and is still one of my all-time favorites. I cried when he died.

I remember back when male country singers didn't have manicures and a facial hair stylist.

Isn't THAT the truth.

Isn't it the truth if his mother had followed the political dogma of the political party of his choice, democrat, abortion for everybody that Tiom McGraw would not be here today.

I was pretty upset to see a picture of murdered baby on this thread. Especially since my 18 month old was sitting on my lap when I opened it up.

She popped the thumb out of her mouth, pointed and said "baby" one of her few distinct words.

My baby knows the truth, she hasn't yet been corrupted by the media, society and those who want to justify their selfish actions in any way possible. So maybe more of these poor, tortured children should be posted, and posted everywhere. Maybe adults won't be able to deny what children know........

Rest in peace little one, you are home with your Father now. He will never let harm come to you again.

We need to take care of the middle class and the poor in our country.

I do, Tim. Do you?

Since you feel like you can tell everybody else what to do, how about answering these questions...

How much money did you give to charities that aid the poor last year?

Do you direct you accountant to take measures to minimize your own tax liability, or do you just fill out the 1040EZ and send the money in?

Do you go out of your way to overpay your taxes, just to be fair?

Tim, keep spouting your leftist positions and I will continue to NOT buy your CD's. BTW, I don't buy any CD's of people who I know to be leftists.

I remember back in the '60's when people were destroying records and posters of the Beatles because of something John Lennon said. That needs to be done again with performers of this ilk.

One reason the "gap" is widening, and the middle class is under stress, is illegal immigration.

I don't think Tim is being too political. I'm not a huge fan but he seems like a good guy. As long as he sticks to his proffession and remembers that his job is to entertain me not educate me, I'll hold no contempt for his work. His family values and charity things suggest he is on the conservative side of whatever he considers "democratic values."

Then why is he(Tim McGraw) for the party of unlimited abortion, if he has such "family values".
