This is not how much they are worth...just how much money they have in the bank.
And I wonder how much money they had when they first came to Washington...

They come to Washington poor; they leave wealthy. We have the best politicians money can buy.

I call BS
they include Rumsfeld as a "politician", but leave off Clinton who shares a net worth with her hubby of several hundred millions.

"Congress members and top officials in the executive branch must file forms covering the preceding calendar year that list their assets and liabilities, their income (excluding their government salaries, oddly), asset transactions, gifts they received and more. They need not list property unless it produces income (so their primary residence is generally not listed), but they must include the source of their spouse's income."
which means the numbers by Kerry's name probably don't REALLY belong to him ?

It's a sad day when a Rockefeller can finish no better than seventh on a list of richest people.

Kohl, Rumsfeld, and Cheney: I don't mind them because I know that they earned their own money before they came to DC. The others either got rich off of insider deals in DC, or they got money from their spouses or parents. Either way they didn't earn it themselves, so they don't know what it means to work for a living.
