Anyone who actually watched could see it was NOT a bash.

Comparing Bush to an Oscar was a COMPLIMENT! Anyone who actually watched could see it was NOT a bash. I saw it--it was anything but a compliment.
He clearly wants to put as much distance as possible away from himself and President Bush.
BTW, he said "link", not "compare.
"To link me to George Bush is like linking me to an Oscar. That's ridiculous."
