BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Former U.S. Rep. Gerry Studds, the first openly gay person elected to Congress, died early Saturday at Boston Medical Center, a hospital official said. He was 69.
Christian Kiriakos, central administrator at the hospital, said Studds died between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. He did not have additional information, and details of Studds' death could not be immediately confirmed.
Studds, a liberal Democrat who spent more than 20 years in Congress, was censured by the House in the 1980s for having sex with a 17-year-old male page. He was re-elected for several more terms.
Last year he married his longtime partner, Dean Hara, in Boston.

Wellstone funeral coming up! No way. This close to the election, what with the Foley thing still working for them, Studds will get the shaft from the Dems, pun intended. :) You will see no wailing or rending of garments.

What in the world does the MSM have to do with this or how people behave on this thread? Uh and what in the world wants you to dismiss the hypocrisy the MSM shows towards Studd's case and Foley's case.

Exactly ...
"Studds fell unconscious October 3 because of what doctors later determined was a blood clot in his lung, Dean Hara said." ... is the cleaned up version.
The first account .. "He'd been hospitalized after sustaining head injuries from an accident while walking his dog." is the local, WBZ account.
I think WBZ is the correct version and the CNN is true to form telling lies about anyone/thing that has to do with the destruction of America.
I have no pity nor sorrow for someone that is 100% Anti-American ... dieing .. isn't that what most people secretly think anyway?
"Geez, I wish he/she/this would just go away"
So now someone has just gone away ... Buck up, folks .. suck it in .. an enemy participant is dead.

Did he suffocate himself with a roll of toilet paper like I heard a talk radio host saying another child molester had done?

Former U.S. Rep. Gerry Studds, the first openly gay person elected to Congress,
And what a fine fine specimen he turned out to be. Also the first Congressman to be censured for sodomizing an underage Congressional Page.

Barney Frank probably won't show up.

This thread is going bad. A man has died. Let the Man upstairs handle it. It is the double standard of the media and the democrats that we have a problem with.

The third thread with Yahoo News as the source is already up this morning. It is also another "cleaned up" version. When I saw this thread earlier, I wondered how a person gets a blood clot in the lung from a fall. I smell Pepe le Pu.

I am just amazed at the convenient deaths in the Democrat party. Just when someone could be the center of a scandal or go down in defeat, he dies. I find it improbable actuarially.

It will be interesting to see which political colleagues turn up at the funeral. I'll bet no one who's up for election.

You offered up the straw man here by trying justify people's behavior over a man who has died. We all know that being a Republican will guarantee coverage for bad deeds far more than what the Democrats get.
So what?

So because the MSM and the democrats act poorly that excuses FReeper behavior in disparaging a man after he has died? How he lived was his choice and he can answer for it in the afterlife as he should.
