I will blame Frist for bailing out at the wrong time.

Frist is just keeping a term limit pledge.

Blame the Republican primary voters for not picking Ed Bryant.

Plus Ford is going to be major MSM material. Imus has him on regular rotation. I expect the other usual suspects will be beating the drums for him as well.

It's a tight spot, indeed.

If their polling states Ford is ahead by 2, then Ford will lose.

Ford has to be at least 5 points ahead to run dead even with Corker in Tenn. That's the political reality of states that lean conservative. Voters will break for Corker in the end, even if he's not a "conservative, because he's still an "R".

Just as Kean would have to do better then 2-5% to even stand a chance in N.J.

Blech, if Ford is elected I imagine he would stay there for a while. Isn't his brother running for his House seat?

Is Fred Thompson stumping for Corker? If not, why not?

McConnell has it in the bag, unless he praises Hitler in a speech or something. Not only does he have the ability to control the caucus, but he has access to money. Everyone knows he's coming in. Lott can't do anything to defeat him for the position.

That's why I gave him heavy favorite odds.

Still politics is odd, and the Senate is even odder, witness the Gang of 14 :)

Ford may have been given a big boost by Frank Cagle, an influencial conservative political analyst in Knoxville. He endorsed Ford in order to punish RINO's!

Brilliant, Mr. Cagle!

Let's risk losing control of the Senate ... risk our best chance in a generation to gain a conservative majority on the Supreme Court ... just so we can throw a temper tantrum.

Whatever his flaws, I guarantee that Corker will vote for any conservative justice nominated by the President.

That's probably about to change. Seems Ford has some dirty laundry that has just been aired.

Whoa! Won't matter to his Memphis constituency, but that won't play well in the rest of the state!

I'm glad Frist is GONE. Corker is great and he was a master, an artist in Tuesday's debate with Ford. I think Corker is Presidential material. I love that guy! He will win (unless there's alot of dead voters)

"Isn't his brother running for his House seat?"

Yes and there seams to be NO shortage of Fords. The "Memphis Mafia" as they are called here have their hands in everything.
