Update --> (31 Oct 2006 *Early Morning*)

MEDICAL UPDATE: Brian's bleed continues. It's not a large bleed nor is it life-threatening at this time. It does present a challenge as in order to do the procedure to discover and hopefully stop it Brian must be stronger physically. That is being worked on with nutrition and vitamins and his exercise. He is on solid foods and regular coffee and liquids. He will go to Portland tomorrow for a transfusion as they have the staff and facility to administer it there then back to his rehab "home" probably in time for lunch. Brian is doing well with his PT and OT and Speech Therapy and is out of his room quite a bit during the day. Still not able to use his right leg but his left arm is coming along.
FAMILY UPDATE: We continue to thank you all for the prayers and well wishes you send. It is a comfort knowing there are so many people who are concerned and pray with us for Brian's recovery. He's got quite a bit of medication going though his system and having difficulty now understanding and replying to questions. Today Brian managed to tell me "too much medication". We along with the hospital staff are looking into how much of what he's getting and it is out hopes he's not getting two that don't mix well as that could be what we are seeing with his ability to understand and respond to questions. That also could really slow down his forward progress in general. We continue to pray with all of you for everyone else in need of helpful prayers and bless you all, wherever you are, for being here with us.
MoJo UPDATE: Thank you to everyone that has written requesting Mr. Tonkin's mailing address. We greatly appreciate the response.
Apologies to anyone that was offended by being pinged to Zacs Mom, kattracks, JulieRNR21's husband's prayer threads. We thought that perhaps with the outpouring of support, prayers, and concern for Mr. Tonkin that it could be sent their way as well.

Now for questions that have been asked:
Per request of the family, we will not be providing a phone number as it is just too much for him to speak on the phone right now. We greatly appreciate all the offers to call him, but as the update has stated above...he's just not ready for conversations.
Mr. Tonkin's son is currently by his side right now. Thank you to those that have written and were concerned that no one was visiting. The family has tried to ensure that he's not alone.

Dear Lord, help our sweet brother regain his health. Help him to rejoin his family in jubilant celebration of Your LOVE and blessings in his life.
Lord please help this family toward HEALING so that they might enjoy the best years of their lives, with Your Blessing Father.
