Prayers still going up Tonk!!!

The FReeper Canteen is asking all FReepers to please keep 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub in your prayers.
He has suffered a massive stroke and heart attack.
We know that many of you will have questions, but as of right now we don't have any further information.

I had the opportunity to speak to Mr. Tonkin on the phone today. It was just a brief call, but he sounded good
considering everything he's been through. He told me that he was starting Rehab which I took as a very good sign.
They've had him up and standing for two days now.
Someone FReepmailed me (um, can't remember which day) and asked whether or not he was able to recall things.
Please know that he remembers things like PING LISTS and other items. So? I would say that his mind is as sharp
as ever. Thank God for that! He's also able to eat (not steaks or anything tasty) the broth they are feeding him.
Please continue with those prayers. They're working and there are still issues the doctors are going to have to fix.
He told me to tell everyone "Thank you for all the prayers and support". Again, he's grateful for all the prayer.
If we get any information this weekend, we'll pass it on.
I know many of you have written about sending cards, flowers, etc.... As of right now, we're concentrating on
getting everyone updated. If he's able to receive items, then we'll let you know. We're checking on it.
Also, thank you to everyone at the Portland VA hospital for all their care and attention to our Tonkin.
