"We don't need no stinkin' permit."

Fantastic AR.
I am working on putting the signs on something sturdier and hope to have a couple more Protest Warrior signs printed out. Maybe I will show up in black from behind the idiots and "join" them for a while.
Great FReeps and report!
PS. flib, thank your husband for our freedom. Thank you for your sacrifice as a military spouse.
I wouldn't mind being known as Euclid, the father of geometry, except for being hated by generations of high school students. But I am ElCid1970, graduate of The Citadel that year. The Zorrolike mystery must continue for now......
Anyway, how do four of us FReepers hold eleven moonbats at bay? Flib, you bring out the real twilight moonbeamers! "I grant you peace!" says one. The soft core fascism: "I am asking you to move!" What a hoot! Not a socialist, anarchist, or theoretical Marxist in the lot, prepared to advance the struggle of the urban proletariat for control of the means of production. No waved dogeared copies of Lenin's "Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism". Not even a Che Guevara T-shirt. Disappointing.
Yeah, I studied at USC's Department of Government and International Studies. They nearly succeeded.
Looking forward to the next First Wednesday. Best to your brave husband. If so privileged I will join him in Iraq.
;^)
OOps! Sorry on the name. I thought it looked funny at the time. Now I know why. Citadel, huh? Impressive. A couple years ago I went to Charleston to hear the president speak. Students from the Citadel were helping out with the crowd. I have never seen nicer, more polite, and well mannered young men. I decided that day that I wanted my young son to join their ranks. He's only in third grade now, so I think I have time to work on that.
or you'll look like this! <--------- |
Keep up the good work.
Hey, remember the Yellow T-Shirt crowd coming up the sidewalk from Assembly St? Who were they, anyway? What did you say that made them turn back?
The Citadel accepts provisional appointments regardless of age.
Do you mean the citadel accepts boys for a reservation for when they are college age, or they actually "instruct"boys at age 8?
I remember those yellow shirted people! A group of them drove by beeping and waving at us in support. Then we saw a big group of them walking toward us. I think they saw the "War Never Solved Anything" part of the protest warrior sign and missed the "Besides Fascism,etc... part. They quickly turned and went the other way. All I did was call out to them. "Hey, wait! Come join us" I think they were confused by it.
I misspoke. Provisional appointments are for children of Citadel alumni, and can be made from infancy to age 12. If all admission requirements are met, and the parents apply to The Citadel by January 25th of their child's senior year, then a place in the Corps of Cadets is guaranteed (should've read my Alumni News first).
But there's no reason any parent can't encourage their child to excel from an early age, and thus become competitive for admission.
They were protesting the court case to relocate the kid that was on the anti-depressant when he killed his family to an adult prison. I saw them on the news that night.
Sorry I missed your post when I replied to flib, see post 17 about them.
Drugs are bad, Mkay.
It was Christopher Pittman and they were supporters of his.
