Conservative Republican Curt Weldon, running for re-election to the U.S. House, says some of his former "political enemies" are stepping up to the plate in hopes of defeating him. Weldon, who represents Pennsylvania's 7th Congressional District, says "the Clintonistas" are going after him in full force. "From Sandy Berger to John Deutsch, John Kerry to Tony Lake, to Jamie Gorelick, Mary McCarthy. They're all involved in my opponent's campaign," says Weldon. Why? According to Weldon, it is because he is in line to chair the House Armed Services Committee - and plans to expose flaws in policies put in place during the Clinton years.

Not surprising. I'm sure the "Clintonistas" are after Weldon, who much deserves our support.
"If I become the chair, I'll be their worst nightmare," he explains. "The truth will come out, and the American people will finally learn all the lessons about why we're having the problems we're having today in defending this nation from the threats around the world."
In the same way we are supporting Irey, we must support Weldon.
Not to worry, Navy Guy, the reason we have so many re-treaded admirals (lower case intentional) running for various offices around the country is the Incomparable Donald Rumsfeld has been, ahthinning the heard for the last few years . . .

Wow. I wish I had seen that. It is interesting how many intel people are supporting his opponent. Makes it easier to understand how Bush has such a hard time - half the people in CIA & State are underming him and his policies. I REALLY hope Weldon wins.
IMO the Administration and the Clintons would both like this man gone.
