Poor child. Trotted out like this so soon after her father's death. Scandalous.

Steve Irwin had earlier agreed to attend tonight's awards ceremony so his daughter could mix with her favourite television and music stars.

I'm guessing Bindi's future won't be what Steve Irwin imagined.

She's an amazing young woman, so poised and articulate. I was very impressed with her at her dad's memorial service. What an Australian treasure!

Bindi Irwin is the toughest 8 year old on the planet Earth.

What a kid. I used to watch her with her dad and that little girl is not only mature for her age, she is one smart cookie. How wonderful that she is honoring her dad in this way. He would be so proud of her.

I echo that, Aussie Dasher! God bless Bindi. She's a strong and brave little girl who wants to honor her daddy. God bless her....and her mom, her brother, her family, her friends and those who will deeply miss her father. I know we will.
