North Korea's No. 2 leader said Wednesday that whether the country will carry out further nuclear tests following one earlier in the week would depend on how the United States treats the country. In a meeting with Kyodo News, Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, said North Korea also considers U.S. policy toward the country the main factor for determining whether to return to the stalled six-party talks on its nuclear programs.

blackmail is their friend ........
I beginning to think that the best policy is to do nothing (that we haven't already done), since it seems to pi$$ the little ba$tard off so much. Above all, however, no "two party" talks, period. Not negotiable. Not gonna go there. Etc.
Agreed. He's like a little puppy scratching on the door. What is it with these tin-pot dictators?
A blockade seems to be the most logical immediate step at this point. In my opinion of course.
I've been thinking blockade also. A complete military blockade of the North Korean waters so nothing that can be used in a nuclear program goes in, and if any nuclear materials are shipped out, it would have to go overland via Russia or China. Might as well make these two show their hands right now. The time for talk has passed.
I don't see how testing all their bombs hurts anyone but them. If you've only got a six shooter, shooting a warning shot into the sky only works a couple of times.
Our response should be to test our submarine lauched nuclear warheads. They haven't been tested in a long while.
#2 tell the world we want 1 million dollars or we test another bomb.
Why not? It worked well with Clinton.
Funny, I always thought Kim Jong-Il was #2. And you know what I'm talkin' about.
yep
