Strong affirmations entail strong actions.
Simon Wiesenthal weighed less than 100 pounds when American troops liberated Austrias Mauthausen concentration camp on May 5, 1945.[1] The former architect then devoted his life to bringing Nazi criminals to justicecriminals like Karl Silberbauer, the Gestapo member who arrested Anne Frank and her family in 1944.[2]
Wiesenthal also confronted the new anti-Semitism of his time: demonizing Israel. In 1968, he issued a report on East Germanys anti-Israel campaign after the 1967 Six Day War. Titled The Same Language: First for HitlerNow for Ulbricht, Wiesenthal examined parallels between Nazi propaganda against Jews and East Germanys against Israel (authored by many ex-Nazis).[3]
That was a noble stand to take. Jews in totalitarian East Germany couldnt express their outrage, but Wiesenthal spoke out.

One of the great unknowns in South Florida is the large Latin Jewish community, including about 40,000 Cuban Jews (there are barely 1,000 still left on the island).
I feel bad hearing this, because while it's long been common knowledge that the ADL is a Democratic Party subsidiary that used the fight against anti-Semitism as a cover to promote a liberal-left agenda, I long expected (and saw) better from the Wiesenthal Center.
Sad to see them also falling prey to the same Socialist disease.
The 40,000 figure is exaggerated; the Jewish population at the time of Castro's ascension to power was about 12,000-15,000, and not all went to Miami; a good number went to New York.
However, you are right in the greater sense that the complete exile of the Cuban Jewish community should have been a hint to the Wiesenthal Center that Castro doesn't exactly like us Jooooooooos!
Venezuelan Jews are living the same experience as the Cubans as we speak. The ones with the wherewithal and the foresight to bail are already in south Florida, but worry a great deal about what is coming for those that remained.
Sad to see them also falling prey to the same Socialist disease.
Unfortunately, the message of the Wiesenthal Center is pure liberalism (rhetoric about "hate" and "tolerance," certainly nothing that Yehoshu`a Bin Nun would understand).
All Orthodox Jews should be bringing non-Jews to the Noachide covenant, not mouthing liberal bromides endorsing religious indifferentism.
