SARAJEVO, Oct 10 (Reuters) - A missile fired from a hand-held launcher damaged a mosque in the southern Bosnian town of Mostar on Tuesday just before worshippers were due to gather for a pre-dawn Ramadan meal, officials said.
The mosque is in the Jasenica area, a Croat-majority suburb of the town which is split evenly between Bosnian Muslims and Bosnian Croats. It was built last year on the ruins of an Islamic building destroyed in the fighting in 1993-1994 between the two groups.
The missile was fired from a "Zolja" hand-held grenade launcher at around 4:30 a.m. (0230 GMT), local police said. Nobody was hurt.
Local Islamic leader Salem Dedovic said the missile was launched from a position about 100 metres (yards) away from the building minutes before believers were due to rise for their pre-dawn meal during the fasting month of Ramadan.
"The mosque suffered considerable damage," Dedovic told Reuters by telephone from Mostar.
He said the explosion damaged the main entrance, front windows and domes as well as the back windows and facade.
Mostar was heavily damaged in the wartime fighting that also claimed the town's landmark 16th century stone bridge.
Lets just split "Bosnia" to Serbia and Croatia, leaving Muslimes to li9ve in remainder...

Oh and to those who think Ramadan is about fasting, remember this, Islam is ALL about image. Therefore, instead of truly fasting, they only 'fast' during daylight hours.

The "peace" crowd thinks that if you rebuild mosques like this one, you build "peace". (I wonder if some "peace" group rebuilt this one--they're active in Mostar). However, if you try to build "peace" on the unjust structures of EU/UN/NATO "Bosnia", all you get is MUCH WORSE WAR!!!!
Besides that, the "Bosnian" muzzies are well known to bomb their own in order to provoke more "international community" intervention. Maybe they don't like sharing Mostar with the Croats, even in the absence of Serbs.
Orthodox Christians, and for that matter, many Roman Catholics, Lutherans, etc., fast by obstaining from certain foods on many fast days. Thus they still eat, but it is considered a fast.
And on some of these Christian fast days, believers obstain from all food and ofen all drink until after sundown, or, for example, after taking Holy Communion at the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts during Lent.
This is the context of islamic fasting practices, which may in part have been copied from Syriac Christian monks. (Of course, Ramadan has a much different context, the receiving of the Qu'ran, than anyting Christian).
There are innumerable things to criricize islam for, but this isn't one of them. The connection between Ramadan and calls for violent jihad and conquest by all too many muslim leaders is one of them, however!!!!
