San Diego Headline News: ...Rescue At The Border SAN DIEGO, CA - (10-10-06 7:26am) Authorities are attempting to extricate five people trapped in a tunnel at the international border Tuesday morning. It is happening near Via De La Amstead and Paseo De Las Americas. The circumstances surrounding the incident are not known at this time. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

So if the US end was blocked, could they not have gone back to the Mexico side and gotten out? Also, what happens on this side. Do we send them back or will they stay here?

If it is a shallow tunnel, that would probably be illegals just crossing.
If it is a deeper tunnel, that would be possible drug dealers transporting goods.
If it is someone connected to a drug cartel, then the rescuers have to be far more careful not to get killed rescuing those people.

I get tired of it too. Although I disagree with you on one point I think we should keep them here. That way we will have cheap labor to build the wall. When the last section goes up, we just need to make sure they are all on the other side. ;)
