A leftist group with strong ties to the Democratic Party and to radical billionaire George Soros may have engaged in criminal obstruction of justice in the Foley case. FBI investigators have accused the group CREW of concealing evidence of Rep. Mark Foleys sexual misconduct over a period of several months.
George Soros Open Society Institute contributed $100,000 to CREW in January 2006.
CREW is little more than a front for George Soros Shadow Party, charges David Horowitz. CREW has been withholding this evidence for months, apparently in order to release it just before the election. It is well known that Soros keeps a tight rein on groups that he funds. He and his Shadow Party cannot evade responsibility for CREWs actions.
The Shadow Party is a network of private political groups, organized and led by George Soros, which exerts a powerful but hidden influence over the Democratic Party, according to Horowitz.
The workings of this network are described in the newly-released New York Times bestseller THE SHADOW PARTY: HOW GEORGE SOROS, HILLARY CLINTON AND SIXTIES RADICALS SIEZED CONTROL OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, by David Horowitz and Richard Poe (Thomas Nelson, 2006).
At a press conference on Monday, October 2, CREW announced that it had been holding incriminating e-mails revealing Foleys sexual misconduct since at least July 2006. CREW said it turned these e-mails over to the FBI in July, but the FBI failed to act.
The FBI counters that CREW provided only edited versions of the e-mails, and refused to surrender the unedited originals. Investigators say that CREW refuses to divulge where it got the e-mails, and may have been holding them since at least April 2006 months before CREW alerted the FBI of their existence.
In response, CREW has accused the FBI of lying, thus pitting George Soros Shadow Party against Americas top federal law enforcement agency, in a head-on confrontation.
I suspect we have here a double-banger where an older gay has solicited a younger gay who lines up kiddies.
Foley's only defense would be dementia, hence the check in to a rehab clinic where, obviously, he will not be rehabed.
NOTE: Before somebody asks a question about how a fellow suffering from dementia could get away with serving in Congress, you have to remember that several of them are merely sockpuppets for their staff people. Senator Warner is a case in point ~ his staff does everything ~ get him new depends, arrange for his hand to lurch forward to vote, etc. So why not Foley? (not that he's actually demented, but I'm sure he can act the part).
I hope so to....
On Fox News they are showing Denny getting ready to give a speech at some get together in Illinois.
I doubt if he would be doing that if he were going to resign..
I just think there is TOO much evidence that this was a calculated "revelation" for ANY Republican to back down...they need to hammer home the demand that ALL be investigated..especially any DEM in leadership.
No wonder...if I were him so would I.... with the FBI sniffing around.
Very interesting - thanks!
"I hope he has decided that if Pelosi won't take Freeh, he is going to nominate someone worse for their side."
Maybe Ken Starr?? LOL!
I still don't understand what say Pelosi should have in this except that Denny is trying to be *nice* The Pubbies need to start understanding that the Dims do NOT play nice and would NOT give Pubbies the same opportunities if the situation was reversed. I don't know all about how this should work, but it seems to me that Hastert is the duly elected Speaker of the House, and, if he wanted to, could just say here is how the investigation will work and here's who is going to run it.
Pelosi et al don't want to go under oath (she's already said she wouldn't). I suspect no one but Fitzgerald, Gorelick, Reno, or Ben Venista will work for them.
"Didn't we read recently that Soros claimed he was through with politics?"
Yep. But I wonder if that means he still won't be giving $$$$s to his 527s, Dims, etc. Maybe he'll just not be so vocal and/or quit meeting w his rich buddies in secret locations (there was an article about that a year or 2 ago)
"No wonder...if I were him so would I.... with the FBI sniffing around."
Absolutely! We can only hope that he goes the way of Marc Rich and moves to Europe. With his socialist views, he should feel more comfortable in France or Russia.
The 2004 tax return is latest tax return that is online and shows the same info for the directors. The list of people that have given them grants :Wallace Global Fund, David Geffen Foundation, Arca Foundaton and Tides Foundation.
http://www.capitalresearch.org/search/orgdisplay.asp?Org=CRE200
The Tides Foundation? Teresa Heinz-Kerry's favorite charity!
That would be the one. Gave them $25,000 in 2002, probably start up money. Click on the link for the Wallace Global Fund and look at the groups they have given money to, a virtual list of liberal organizations. They look like a group to watch.
Spoiliation of Evidence is a criminal act.
I read during the campaign that the Tides Foundation was known as a handy means for leftists to give to their favorite left-wing causes without being obvious about it. I believe Tides lets them direct their donations.
Yes, it might, but not in time to do them or their rat buddies any damage before the election.
And the car goes off the mantle into the fishtank, lol! That is funny.
There wasn't any "sexual misconduct". There were some smutty emails.
Bill Clinton tried to convince us that oral sex wasn't "sex".
No one can believe that dirty emails are "sex". (well, except for hypocritical democrats)
Ooooooooooooooo...yet another time warp BUMP. LOL
bttt
The Seattle itself is beautiful (except for a statue or 2).
I believe the city started leaning more to the left as more and more people moved up here from CA (I think the same is true for OR). I've met quite a few people who have moved here from the Northeast as well.
Many of us live in the burbs, at least some of which, lean conservative. My district, as an example, has Dave Reichert(R) as our congresscritter. I have a few issues w him, but will address those AFTER the election and will try to get him re-elected. My previous rep was Jennifer Dunn, and I liked her. Our State Sen was Dino Rossi, before he decided to run for Gov. After that counting fiasco, I'm hoping that the Dims won't be able to get away w all of their shennigans that they pulled in the 2004 election. (I can't prove it, but I highly suspect they were doing the same thing in 2000 when Maria *won* against Slade Gorton - he didn't challenge the count). Stephan of soundpolictics was instrumental in going after records, reporting, and, in general, keeping the King County election board's feet to the fire. Dean Logan who headed it is now heading a board in a CA city.
The main district in Seattle has Bagdad Jim McDermott as their Rep. I don't know what to say about that except that 1) some people don't follow the news/politics and just keep re-electing him, 2) he usually doesn't have much competition from the Pubbies, 3) some people will vote for anyone w a D behind their name, and 4) just the makeup of that district.
Thanks for the additional info on McGavick. He stepped down as Pres of Safeco and turned that company around. I think he'd do well as a Senator.
BTW - the Dims keep running ads on Dave Reichert linking him to Pres Bush (fine by me - but not so fine by some of the wacko voters here). I haven't seen any ads for him - wish he'd or some org would start running some for him soon!
Personally, I resent this group usurping the "America's Funniest Videos" acronym. The REAL AFV is much more entertaining and informative than any of these lieberal groups, on any given day!
