TAMPA, FL- Congresswoman Katherine Harris, the Republican candidate for the United States Senate, soundly defeated Bill Nelson this evening by a 54% to 45% margin in the straw poll conducted at the Lakeland Bi-Annual Politics in the Park. The Harris campaign continues to build momentum, engendering tremendous grassroots support throughout the state with a pro-growth, pro-family message that resonates across the political spectrum.
Congresswoman Harris commented, I appreciate the strong support of a majority of voters who are disillusioned with Bill Nelsons lack of leadership and his record of voting against Floridas best interests. I will fight for Florida in the United States Senate.
The Lakeland Bi-Annual Politics in the Park straw poll illustrates the widespread support that exists for Harris consistent message of cutting taxes, eliminating wasteful spending, protecting the institution of marriage and opposing amnesty for illegal citizens. Congresswoman Katherine Harris is the only candidate with a demonstrated record of leadership who will fight for Floridas values in the U.S. Senate.
Katherine Harris, the Republican Candidate for the United States Senate, currently serves as the Representative for Floridas 13th Congressional District. After receiving a Masters in Public Policy from Harvards Kennedy School of Government, she continued a distinguished career in public service to her native state that began in the State Senate and as Floridas last elected Secretary of State. She resides in Longboat Key with her husband Anders Ebbeson and his 24-year-old daughter, Louise along with the constituents of District thirteen.

This is the way it was explained in the Lakeland Ledger. I wish it were the case that she was way ahead, but I don't think so.
Katherine Harris beats Bill Nelson and my clothes come off at high noon on Elle McPherson.
Come to that, who needs a bloody election?
Are you Japanese?
I think its a boulevard in Tampa..
Thank you both for your service and your votes.
For the lemonade or a candidate?
>I now firmly believe that Negron is going to be the next congressman from that district
I live in that district and even briefly worked on an opponent's campaign versus him in his first primary race.
Foley is well liked and I can't imagine the seat going Dem.
Before you take your clothes off, remember to remove your head
It's an infectious notion. Pass it on.
Just think how much better she might be doing if money was being given to her rather than a liberal like Lincoln Chafee...
I'm not surprised she did well there in a Tampa poll. I think she can take the north and maybe even central Florida. The problem she has to deal with is getting enough votes to overcome the Miami crime, I mean vote machine. They'll find votes in people's trunks if they have to and there will be at least 101 percent turnout of dead voters. So strange, in Miami-Dade even the most ardent lifelong Republicans seem to vote for the Democrats once they've departed.
Ummm, you don't work at Mons Venus, do you?
< }B^)
Uh, and this poll means what?
Will that be Dale Mabry & Waters or Dale Mabry & Erlich?
Great Minds Travel In The Same Gutters.
It's a main drag in Tampa.
