If Hamas has it I do not seem them give it up without a fight.

I don't think Mr. Kingsley claims to have "found" the treasures, he simply believes he knows where they are. Knowing about them, and securing them are two diffent things, especially with Hamas thugs about.

I cannot stand all this "Common Error" garbage.
They should just use "BC" and "AD" rather than acting like 8 year olds who make up the rules of a game as they go along so they can get their way.
Ridiculous.

Soooo...
How did the treasure get from Justinian's[Byzantine] hands to the West Bank? Seems like that would be an interesting detail...

This guy has a book he wants to sell.
This cave, or whatever it is he has claimed to discover, will be as empty as Capone's vault when he opens it up before the media crowds.
FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

I can just picture hoards of lunies with make-shift gold detectors wandering the west bank desert looking for gold.
It's really not that much territory, I wonder what the author's goal is.

If the Temple treasures were retrieved, the discovery could help lead to the actual rebuilding of the Temple, the resumption of biblical sacrifice and the coming of the Messiah. Well let's get to it then. Of course those two hemorrhoids on the Temple Mount called "mosques" will have to be removed.

It's a plausible argument that has almost messianic implications. If the Temple treasures were retrieved, the discovery could help lead to the actual rebuilding of the Temple, the resumption of biblical sacrifice and the coming of the Messiah.
Too late.

"The treasure's final hiding place - in the modern West Bank ... deep in Hamas territory - will rock world religions."
Unless Hamas finds it and melts it down to pay for more bombs to use against Israel.

Joel Rosenberg has a great fictional book on the discovery of the Temple Treasure The Copper Scroll.

Well, if this is true (and if the treasures include the ashes of the last red heifer) then this certainly uncomplicates things. However, instead of Mashiach coming after the Temple is built, isn't he supposed to be the one to rebuild the Temple? Of course, someone has to actually rebuild the Temple first before he can be recognized as Mashiach. Not to worry though. G-d will take care of everything.
